I had a wonderful time at the Life Grant Cafe in Brooklyn. The Restaurant offers very good seating inside and outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Since it was a breakfast business meeting they gave us enough time to finish our meeting and not interrupt proceedings. I had the eggs benedict and it was excellent.

We were staying in Pretoria for three nights and were looking for some upscale dining and the place we were stay (coral tree inn) recommended Hinterland. We made a reservation and we’re set to go. First impressions were good with a friendly welcoming greeting like we were family. We were seated and the great service started. Our waiter knew the wines on offer and we picked out some great wines to pair with our meal. They have a stuffed onion ring appetizer which we never had seen before and sort of glad we didn’t as we would gain some unneeded pounds. My wife likes her steak well done, the waiter said no problem they may butterfly the steak in order to ensure it was properly done. The service was what you hope for in fine dining giving the red wine some air before pouring and keeping the white wine chilled. The meal was one of the best we had in South Africa in three weeks. It was so good in fact that we booked a second night there while we waited for our flight to Kruger. We would certainly go here again.

We visited Forti on a Wednesday evening and was quite surprised at how busy it was! We enjoyed excellently prepared dishes and very professional service. All that keeps me from giving the restaurant a higher rating is the lack of ambiance. We sat at a table for two, which was too big and too close to the table right next to it, to have any type of serious conversation. It was also placed directly against a mirror with a light as bright as a hospital's directly shining on the table. It really spoiled the experience somewhat. (Maybe I am comparing the experience with Ritrovo, which was a firm favourite, and it is just not the same)Hi. Thank you for your lovely review. Unfortunately we as a green building use only LED lighting and they do not dim very well. The dim look also is very convenient at hiding dirt. We love our restaurant bright to show off our cleanliness and our beautiful art. I promise you you will get used to it. If it still bothers I will simply take out the light above your table. The Forti dimmer method. With love.

The food was delicious, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Even though they hosted two huge touring groups, the service was still fantastic. I will definitely be back and next time I am taking friends with to share the experience.

Both positive and negative is taken with equal praise by us as both aspects can be brought into consideration to make the Kream experience a success. We especially appreciate your perspective as it is based on past experiences of how Kream used to be. And it is certainly agreeable that Kream is not what it used to be, especially since moving locations. We will take all your points into great consideration so that we can take active measures at improving. The points you mention, like flies around the table, is definitely unacceptable. I hope you will visit us again for a renewed experience, and enjoy the Kream you once loved. The only option for us is improvement, there is no other way. This delightful spot is in Mooiplaats, Pretoria, so it does feel like a bit of an escape from city life. Complete with a bit of dirt road to travel on. Us city dwellers need that now and again! The warm and welcoming ambience immediately transported us back to our time spent in the Cape Winelands a week or so ago. Bliss! We arrived just as the doors opened, and I realized soon afterwards that we were probably very lucky to get a table without a reservation, so that is something to remember next time. The wine list is concise, but really impressive and we immediately recognized some personal favourites. The @oakvalleywines Fountain of Youth #sauvignonblanc was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. You can expect country-style comfort food that is absolutely delicious and prepared and presented beautifully. I opted for the wild mushroom risotto and believe me, it was divine! Served with asparagus and chickpea fritters, this was such a tasty and hearty dish. It was a good-sized portion (in my words = large) and I finished all of it! Every last bite.My hubby had the Italia pizza (with added anchovies) and it truely was a feast for the eyes. I didn't taste it, but he thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe next time!I only realized recently that the legendary Chef Pellie Grobler is at the helm of this restaurant. The quality of the meals speak volumes! Continuing his mission to change Pretoria one meal at a time. Great job!We will definitely be back - I saw quite a few dishes on the menu that I will be dreaming about until then! Oh yes, and that wild mushroom risotto.

On the way to restaurant/hotel you will encounter giraffes/ zebras.I have been to lots of places ; this is unique and spectacular.Ok - now the restaurant.Very very classic. Better wear something decent it really is classic & classy.Service 5* beyond doubt. You can choose between small and big menu. within the menu you can choose between several dishes. Some dishes are set.We liked this. Every dish was well explained. The accompanying wine & non alcoholic drinks match (although we liked the wine menu a bit better)Food was stunning. Extremely well prepared. Nothing too fancy but absolutely delicate. Some dishes are rather "simple" ; some are molecular style ; but important. They taste and don't do the molecular cooking just for the sake of it.Of course prices are accordingly.Very very good and recommendable! You won't be disappointed.
