Nothing fancy, but a good family restaurant with good food, good prices and friendly, fast service. The chicken schnitzel was quite good.

I had the steak opening special which was excellent value for money but a bit tough even though it was correctly done. The venue is great and very big with a nice kids area. The service was excellent with a waiter and trainee waiter doing their job correctly. Still very quiet but will get busier when it becomes better known!

With a large open air wood smoker standing outside the restaurant, I expected smoked meats like pulled pork shoulder, smokey steaks and burgers and ribs. This is exactly what you get, including a large range of craft beers. I have eaten there three times and enjoyed it, but the food tends to be single dimension. There is no finesse. Do not go there in the evenings, it turns into a very loud student drinking joint.Hi Anton Thank you for your review and sharing your point of view. We often pop over to the Dros for a quick lunch, work a block away. Have never been disappointed, from the great service to the good food. Sitting in the garden whilst the world buzzes past is relaxing and a good break from the office. The service is prompt and yet not overbearing. The food is always on point and exactly what you ordered. Well done, here is to many more a visit.

I seldom rate at the top, but Aroma definitely deserves this rating. We where in Pretoria, post a morning Spa session, and decided to stop in based on some good reviews in TripAdvisor.We sure are glad we did!Restaurant is modern and decor is amazing "steam-punk / airplane". Staff where extremely attentive without being overbearing. Manager had a constant eye on things and dispatched waiters as needed.Both my wife and I opted for the Rib-eye burger as it was recommended. We have eaten burgers from many top restaurants and even specialty burger restaurants, and can safely say that this burger was hands down in the top 3 for me ever, and my wife contests that it is the best burger she has ever had. Well priced, this restaurant serves top class quality and provides a relaxed environment to enjoy it in. We will be back for the chicken to see if the special oven works its charm.A must try for Pretoria!

Oyster bowl was fresh and tasty, Baked camembert was disappointing cold and not bake through potatoes were just warm, so disappointing. We then both opted for the slow cooked pork roast. The pork was brilliantly cooked and succulent but lacked seasoning. Desert was ok. Not the Carbon Bistro I'm used to! This awesome tapas bar offers a super gin menu and their tequilaria is something to write home about.The staff are super fun and the kitchen wins 100m dash hands down. The food is great, although there are not a load of gluten free options on the recommendation list.I would recommend you book a table, but it was my birthday, so the staff magiced up, a table for 3 more. Loved the mixed crowd, loved the easy vibe, love the memories we made.Thank you for choosing us to celebrate your special occasion. We booked ahead and arrived to no table ready, they had to quickly put two tables together for us. Not set, just plain cold granite.Service was fast, and friendly but meal was cold and tasteless.Ambience was cold and quiet.What a pity, used to be great when it was the Dros.Wonât be back.
