The desk at the hotel recommended the Ile de Re on our visit, stating that while it might be a tad more expensive than other restaurants around the dishes are worth it. I don't really have a comparison, because we only stayed one night in Steinbach - but I'd return to the Ile de Re on the next visit. Friendly staff, and generous portions of delicious food. It's one of the places where you feel welcome from the start.

A very coosy place (maybe a little bit too small...), but the food was outstanding!!! Steak to the minute! Also the rest of the platter was great! Nice owner, very good Service!Not a posh and distinguished place, but if you like "honest" food, THE RIGHT PLACE TO VISIT!

Went here for an evening meal luckily we had booked as the restruant was busy we had the steak and a salmon I have to admit the steaks were cooked to our individual liking the French fries were freshly prepared and piping hot with wine and a few spirits for 4 it came to â¬275.00 not to bad for Frankfurt prices!

My wife and I are retired Canadian professionals living in Frankfurt for 18 months. Today, between Christmas and New Years Eve, it was overcast and foggy and wet, and we decided to explore the narrow cobblestone streets of the incredibly beautiful little towns of Kronberg and Konigstein, with their timeless estate/residences. We had made reservations at Miro's (highly recommended) because we assumed, rightly, that the local residents would be a good gastronomical influence! Miros is located on a hillside overlooking the valley below. The exterior is unassuming; the interior is very nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, with linen tablecloths. The owner himself seated us at a table with a view.If readers look at the comments on the attached photos, they will see why we were so delighted with the meal. The flavours and presentation were excellent. The ambience is such that families will enjoy dining, as well as couples looking for a memorable experience. (Why dine at other fine restaurants where the stuffy, stiff formality creates gastric ulcers?)The cost of the meals is entirely reasonable for the high quality and absolute professionalism. We will be back again to explore the menu. Setting:Right by the reception of the hotel. Very light, friendly atmosphere. Has a world citizen feel.Food:Pumpkin soup was a disaster. Too cold and very watery taste trout flavor. Once my business partner got his meal - I needed to wait 45 minutes for my salad to arrive ... Salad was ok, but I had to eat it alone. No apologies, no free coffee. - nothing. service: Absolutely no empathy. I would not come back!
