Nice setting / ambience. Lovely old historic house. Outdoor terrace opposite the cathedral. Service was quite slow. Food was very average but not expensive. Food rarely served hot in Mexico but here was cold and main dishes lacked flavour. We paid around £30 for two courses for two with a bottle of wine.

Stopped in for a drink and a cheese & meat plate before dinner during a weekend in Cuernavaca. The atmosphere is great - very laid back and cool. There was plenty of seating with tables and couches inside and out.

A bit off the beaten path, this hotel-connected restaurant consists of a main dining room and a smaller garden area where the bar is located with beautiful gardens. Regular meals can also be had in the bar area. There are a variety of cocktails served including some with mezcal. The food is well prepared with a variety of Mexican specialites. The prices appear better than they are since they do not include the IVAT (tax). When you receive la cuenta you may be in for a surprise in that most of the restuarants include the tax in with the prices they quote. Also, if you care, ask about any drink price that is not explicitly listed on the menu. The waiter implied mezcal margarita was the same as the other ones; it was considerably higher.

Everytime we are in this stupendous city, full of history of so many artists in the past,including a visit years ago by Maria Callas, we never miss enjoying the natural, elegant atmosphere of this Bistro. The food is part of the treat, as it is guided in its diversity by the taste of its french owner. The waiters are always ready to help and very friendly and at the time respectful with the clientele. Each dish is fresh with the best ingredients. Don´t miss the soups of the season, cold and hot; the salads and main dishes; the desserts, such as "crème blûlée", and the "italian cappuccino". The cost is minimal in comparison to any other place in the city. TRY IT, YOU WON´T REGRET IT!We apreciate your very kind comments which encourage us to serve our customers day after day. It is hard to find a nicer place in the city, lush gardens with peacocks decorate this quintessential Cuernavaca location. This has been the "it" place for over 20 years and it never disappoints. On weekends and holidays it can (and probably will) get really crowded, plan to spend a long while getting served and relax. The food is really good but the setting is even better.

The quality of food has dropped awfully. Is quite poor and you can tell there is no passion in the staff. Waiters are there for you if you want alcohol but if you only go for dinner or lunch you will be given a poor service. They clon your credit card quite fast, so make sure to pay in cash. Cleanliness is quite absent and unless you are a regular, no upgrade in service will be available.

Nice restaurant on the square in Cuernavaca, adjacent to the Cortes palace. Food and service were excellent; I had the vegetarian lasagna, and my friends had the beef fajitas. Both excellent, as well as the first course, a black bean/taco soup.

Reservation for 7 PM, chose our own table from those offered. Delightfully appointed dining room overlooking the nicely maintained garden. Comfortable seating, attention to detail in the table layout. Excellent service, large interesting menu, good cocktail and wine list. So many food choices so will offer a quick list of what we tried.Started with the onion and the leek plus potato soup and the tuna tartar. All were delicious. For mains the filet mignon chipotle was outstanding, the pork lomo cerdo adobado was fine but maybe a touch on the spicy side. Dish are large so we passed on dessert. A very enjoyable evening. Waiter Jesus was attentive without being intrusive. Good washrooms, credit cards accepted. One on Cuernavacaâs best.
