I loved this location for it's serene atmosphere and lovely food. I ordered the omelette de espinaca o requeson (spinach omelet) and it was delightfully good. The pastries were also so delicious and a nice variety. The prices were a little high but well worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nicely decorated place with a rustic merry-go-round at the entrance.The food was enjoyable, especially the tortilla soup and the chiles en nogada.The mole looked great and will be my next option when I return.It is a good place to have a conversation except when they celebrate a birthday (it can get real loud, but only for a few minutes).A real winner!

It is hard to find a nicer place in the city, lush gardens with peacocks decorate this quintessential Cuernavaca location. This has been the "it" place for over 20 years and it never disappoints. On weekends and holidays it can (and probably will) get really crowded, plan to spend a long while getting served and relax. The food is really good but the setting is even better.

The quality of food has dropped awfully. Is quite poor and you can tell there is no passion in the staff. Waiters are there for you if you want alcohol but if you only go for dinner or lunch you will be given a poor service. They clon your credit card quite fast, so make sure to pay in cash. Cleanliness is quite absent and unless you are a regular, no upgrade in service will be available.

Nice restaurant on the square in Cuernavaca, adjacent to the Cortes palace. Food and service were excellent; I had the vegetarian lasagna, and my friends had the beef fajitas. Both excellent, as well as the first course, a black bean/taco soup.

Reservation for 7 PM, chose our own table from those offered. Delightfully appointed dining room overlooking the nicely maintained garden. Comfortable seating, attention to detail in the table layout. Excellent service, large interesting menu, good cocktail and wine list. So many food choices so will offer a quick list of what we tried.Started with the onion and the leek plus potato soup and the tuna tartar. All were delicious. For mains the filet mignon chipotle was outstanding, the pork lomo cerdo adobado was fine but maybe a touch on the spicy side. Dish are large so we passed on dessert. A very enjoyable evening. Waiter Jesus was attentive without being intrusive. Good washrooms, credit cards accepted. One on Cuernavacaâs best.

I am very stingy with my âstars,â and I donât remember the last place I gave 5. We enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner, the main meal of the holiday. It was served banquet style, but unlike the other high-end spots, the tables were separated so that each group of diners really were attended to very well. Captains and servers paid close attention to what was going on at our table. Likewise the food was excellent. Entrees included a perfectly prepared Beef Wellington, a plate with turkey, vegetables and sweet potatoes, and a couple of vegetarian and vegan options. There was a choice of soup or salad for starters; all in our party enjoyed the soup - a cream made with candied walnuts. Dessert was a somewhat pedestrian cake. We chose a Mexican wine and were quite pleased. With tip the cost worked out to about $65 US per person. Valet parking made arrival and departure easy. The setting is the nicest hotel in Cuernavaca and one of a few small hotel treasures in the country. Anticavilla has definitely edged out Las Mañanitas from the top rating it enjoyed for many years. We were with a small group on a day trip from Mexico City and both major attractions in Cuernavaca were closed (the Cathedral for repairs and the Palace where Hernan Cortez lived was closed for for who knows why). So what we had left to do after the long trip from DF was lunch and shopping. We chose The House at the Las Casas B & B for lunch and it was fabulous. We were seated outdoors near the swimming pool. We were the only gringos; all the other patrons were Mexican Nationals dressed for business and that's always a good sign for the quality of the food, which proved to be true. Service was excellent and they had a great cocktail menu and a fine wine list.
