I have visited their restaurant while visiting Veszprém. The lunch was perfect and given that it is a beerhaus, they had a good selection of beer specialties, with some handcrafted beers of their own brand which must be top 3 on my list of best beers ever. The waiter was kind and was attentive enough to propose a different dish which was more suited to my description of why I chose my option, and to be honest he was perfectly right (and surprisingly the dish proposed was not more expensive than the original) :-). I liked the restaurant's environment and style, as it is on the location of a very old Mill, which was rebuilt in a very fashionable and modern way, however keeping some elements of the original building in the new version as well (wooden poles etc). Overall very pleasant place to have lunch at, with very good food. The building is surrounded by a large and very nice yard, which adds to all of the above. I will definitely visit them again and would gladly advise anyone to visit it.My accommodation was at Hotel Historia & Historante, which is part of the same local group/ownership (Historia) and provides very similar style and quality of service. It is also a very good place to visit in my opinion.

I had dinner on two occasions while staying at the adjacent Villa Medici hotel. It really is a lovely restaurant, nice service, an appealing menu, good sized portions and reasonably priced. Strongly recommended for hotel guests or others looking for an enjoyable meal.

Since my last visit, this restaurant developed a lot, it opened its terrace, and foods are served on the ground floor, not just on the first. Prices are still friendly, although increased a little bit. Pizza and hamburger was delicious and huge, ward dishes were also excellent. Free internet, card is accepted.

Has the dinner menu improved, or did I just not read it properly last time?!! I think it has improved, with more choice, and more things I want to try. Still struggles a bit for atmosphere, but the food was very good and the service has always been excellent. The restaurant doubles as a breakfast room, and I think it is more comfortable in this role. Breakfast food is also pretty good.

An excellent restaurant that is different from typical Hungarian fare that one can get very tired of. Pizzas are tasty, and the wild boar is amazing. Great comfortable decor and top notch service. Probably the classiest restaurant we have been to in Veszprem County. I highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.

First of all, this is an amazing building, old but beautifully restored, that makes for an wonderful place to have a meal or just a drink. It oozes atmosphere, but is nicely modernised in a sympathetic style. OK, the food. Well I opted for their burger. Big, served quite quickly, nicely presented and cooked and made for an enjoyable meal. Good beer too. Great spot for the slightly less formal dining option, but an easy place to relax in and have a very pleasant meal.

Meal in this restaurant was good, but it's also more expensive than average restaurant in Budapest. Later I heard that this is a fancy restaurant and people go to this place for anniversaries or similar occasions. Starter (pancake stuffed with chicken meat and with sour cream) was exceptionally good, the main course that I had (Hungarian fish soup) was average. I had a home made lemonade for drinking and it was too sweet for me, but it has fresh fruits in it and I appreciate that.

Went there with our 2.5 years old kid. Reserved and the highchair was prepared at the table. Very good selection in general but there was also the meal of the day. Everything was delicious. Not very big portions so you can go through the whole selection range without getting stuffed.Absolutely recommended. Friendly staff and pleasant environment.

We, together with my family of four, are continouisly visiting the oliva restaurant since twelve years now. We mostly like the atmosphere of summer nights when you sit in the courtyard of the restaurant filled with sophisticated people and families. Mostly jazzradio is in the air, sometimes acoustic guitar player is on "stage". Central location of oliva makes the place a good starter for innercity walks. We like the kind staff so much.
