Disaster. Incompetence all over.
Reviewed By 345mike678Arrived very late. They sent an email in broken French with instructions. Ok. Opened the safe at the hotel, no keys!!!! Midnight, crying kids, nobody answering any calls, foreign country... No place to stay!!! After 4.5 hours of driving..! Heck, in reality the key was in a completely different building 5 minutes away by car. But the address and instructions are not clearly explaining that. Next day talked to them, what is amazing that no apologies and no immediate solution was offered. Just insisted how easy it is to open the safe... Who cares, when I had to call other hotels in the area to book at 1 at night!!! What is amazing is that they don't offer refunds either. We have to wait for at least a week to see if they can do it or not. To summarize. It's an absolute disaster!! Incompetence and zero interest in customer service!! You people do not belong to hospitality business!!! Their hotels looks clean from outside on a cold night though. Terrible experience!

Reviewed By LodeponceletStayed here for 1 night. Not our best stay at the beach. When comming in the room the heating was off and the beds were not made. (We had to make our own beds??) In the morning we came to the conclusion that we had No towels. (€4 rent for 1 set). The kitchen was ok equiped. The lobby was nice. The rooms could have been nicer. Do not expect Hotel services.

Reviewed By alexMm1003The owner is an uncouth, angry and dishonest man. I messaged him beforehand that we are unvaccinated, he ignored the message, then took our money and when we arrived he told us that we could not stay and that he would not refund the money.

Great apparthotel
Reviewed By bionixWe wanted to take a weekend break in the seaside of Belgium. Having a small child, an hotel room was not practical and renting an apartment was too complicated for a short stay. This was a good alternative. We have a one bedroom apartment, which included a main living room (kitchen area, dining table, and a TV area). It was spacious enough for a short break. The place was clean and well maintained. It was only a 5 minute walk to the sea side and the main shops. There is a large parking area. The apartment is cleaned every day. There is also a large play ground in front of the hotel, especially practical with small children. I would definitely go again.

Reviewed By syntaxsoloNo Service - Maybe it's because of my last name :P Anyway, before I said my Jewish last name for a reservation, we were served normally the day before. I don't want to imply anything here. I'm just saying what I observed. Unfortunately, after about 40 minutes no one take our order, Although I have told the temporary several times that we would like to order. The temporary also told the waiter, no reaction, so we paid our drinks and leave. They charged the full amount of money for the drinks and even no apology.

The hotel was really cute from the outside also and within a few metres you are at the beach. The breakfast was good but could have been a little bit more fruits and in total a little bit more variety. But it was okay. We would definitely come back.

Reviewed By Travel4LifedddddJust stayed one night during the Nostalgie Beach Festival, room was OK, but breakfast is so great, including Cava, fresh orange juice and a great choice of cheese, ham, eggs. Also very friendly people and a location in the middle of Westende so close to the beach.

B&B Het Zilte Zand is a very Romantic bed and breakfast along the Belgian coast with 5 luxurious rooms, a glass porch house with stunning views over the vast polders, also from our sunny terrace. We are near the shores (300m) and along various biking and walking trails. We are located in a quite street with free parking space in front of the building. Westende is located between Middelkerke and Nieuwpoort with a variety on shops, restaurants, pubs and many more. We can recommend you multiple nice things to visit or where to eat in the neighbourhood. Come for a quite, relaxing stay and enjoy our surroundings. We always try to give you a warm and welcome feeling in our house.

Perfect reception by most hospitable hosts; Marina and Mike could not be any more gracious and helpful. It was an absolute pleasure to spend 4 nights at this heaven of peace and comfort, with a splendid breakfast to start your every day. I can hardly imagine nobody would want to return - we for one are planning to for sure! Thank you and see you soon!
