Most likely the newest hotel in Shingu city. Not a “resort” hotel by any means. Since it’s new, everything is still clean and nice. Rooms come is single (one bed) and twin (two beds) and smoking and non-smoking. The non-smoking rooms are not separated by floor so at times you can smell cigarettesmome in the hallway :-( The rooms have bathrooms with a small tub and shower but there is also a OFURO (Japanese style bath) on the 3rd floor open from 4:30pm till midnight - bring the towel from your room, soap and shampoo are provided. Convenient location in the center of the city within a short walk to Shingu station. Front desk/lobby is on the 3rd floor. 2nd floor has a restaurant and a self laundry room to get your cloths washed. A simple Japanese style breakfast comes with the room charge. Front desk staff is not to helpful to assist with tours and restaurant reservations. They seem a bit untrained still compared to the UI Hotel staff where we also stayed.

Conveniently located within Shingu city. We found the staff extremely helpful to assist with dining and tour reservations. Beds were on the hard side, rooms were pleasantly spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese style yet accommodated western needs, ie freshly ground coffee and English tea. We would consider returning if we returned to Shingu city.

We stayed here for 2 days in a large 'western ' room. Comprised of 2 double beds bar fridge and sink, separated toilet and shower room and a large tatami matted room with a low table and low Japanese style seats. Breakfast is included in the room price and was Japanese style. There are 10 cafes and restaurants close by, as well as a Family Mart convenience store. Also available was a washing machine and dryer free of charge. Although the place is a bit dated, probably built circa 1970s, it was low cost and practical. The shower room needs love.

It's in quite a good location; less than 10mins from JR Shingu on foot and about 20mins on foot to Hayatama Shrine. The staff member at reception was super nice. He also spoke basic English. The place is a little run down but if you just need somewhere to sleep for a night or 2 it's perfectly fine. My one complaint would be finding a little bit of black mold in the upper corners of the shower :(

We stayed here as part of the Kumano Kodo trail hike. It is a little out of the way from the trail but the management will arrange to collect you and then drop you off when you check out to the nearest palce they can to where you are going.

Small room, average breakfast, very fast password free WIFI compared to other hotels in big cities. It is close to the bus stop and Lawson at Shingu station is the best place to buy food. All in all it is a good choice from very few hotels here.

AMAZING staff, good value breakfast, Huge supermarket next door with very reasonable prices. I forgot 100 yen in the room, the staff wrote me a note and returned it. The Breakfast had 2 options, Western and Japanese. Both were excellent. The staff did Not speak much english but we managed with sign language. We would definately return.

Reasonably priced. Very good location. Close to shops and public transport. The room was clean. The ryokan itself may benefit from a bit of renovation works. But all in all it was a good choice. We enjoyed its bath.
