Reviewed By browneyes123The worst hotel I've ever been to - definitely not a 5* hotel as advertised. Please, please do not book this hotel - it is a 3* hotel at best, masquerading as a 5* hotel. We booked 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and it ruined the whole trip for us. The rooms are old, dated, drab and smelly. Our room had a nasty smell I think from the furniture which I believe the hotel was trying to conceal by putting air freshener inside the Aircon unit which was giving me a headache - similar to a previous review below. Moreover the the bathrooms have black mould in them - see photos. Food-wise - the evening buffet is not good at all. The currys were all unappetising often using recycled food... Lots of the food on offer was basically untouched by the evening because it was so unappetising. It's the only buffet I've ever been to where the previous nights' dinners (eg gyozas) are then on offer the following morning! And it's supposed to be a 5* hotel! Here comes the good bit..the service. Some of the staff were ok and friendly but when we complained about our room - we were met with a rude member of staff who never apologized or uttered the words sorry regarding our experience. Similarly, when a waiter accidentally brought the wrong drink to us at dinner, there was no apology for the misunderstanding, he simply walked off and another waiter took the order. Truly shocking in my opinion! The only selling point is the beachfront location - but do not let this mislead you.

Second & Last visit to this hotel sadly
Reviewed By Mark BRevisited the hotel as first visit was perfect last year, sadly from the moment we checked in we had issues which continued throughout our stay at the hotel. Management will not be surprised by what i write in my review as everything was bought to their attention during my stay. I must point out also none of my issues were related to covid rules more lack of professionalism, quality, customer service and overall Management guidance. Rooming issues at the start even though reservation was made with requests were made 8 months in advance and confirmed a number of times prior to arrival were not met, complaint handling was non existent nor appearance of any senior management, numerous food quality issues throughout our stay, food either over or under cooked and returned, menu choice was sometimes limited and not value for money. Be aware at weekends the hotel offers promotions to locals to come stay in the hotel at discount rates, which they do in abundance creating noise and using the hotel as a party place with no respect for other guests trying to relax. Breakfast is the same buffet each morning, hot food items are generally cold and most times i had to ask for my food to be reheated in the microwave, all food items are not covered so your fighting with flies which is somewhat off putting although selection was good just poorly executed and managed. Sunbathing on beach, hotel is only allowed to have guests sunbath on loungers within 3m of hotel boundary, this rule is only enforced with certain managers and when certain managers are not working the rule does not apply, being told whilst sunbathing 6 days into holiday in the same place that i cannot sunbath on a hotel lounger in a particular spot i find outrageous and poorly managed especially when the pool and area sun loungers are in are in the shade. Was told to treat the hotel like my home! i said at least in my home i can relax, this is something i have not been able to do at this hotel this time. Although the staff in the hotel are amazing they lack being managed and trained to do their jobs properly in order to allow them to offer the service customers expect. Overall hotel needs some maintenance, the white and black decor is showing plenty of wear and tear, pool loungers are limited and well worn, terrace furniture in rooms in need of updating , general updating is desperately needed and marks on walls everywhere, chips out paintwork in rooms and exterior areas of hotel. Ants are everywhere indoors and out and nothing is being done to control this, i love being at one with nature but draw the line on something's, cats roaming around guests feet at the outdoor restaurant waiting for food scraps not what i want when trying to enjoy my meal and being bitten by cat fleas, mosquitos, cockroaches and other little beasties are present which is expected outdoors but the hotel again doesn't do anything to help make the guests comfort that bit more tolerable when dining or drinking outside, On checkout when i asked if i was going to be compensated for all the inconveniences we had received except a small plate of fruit that was a token gesture of the hotels acknowledgment of their poor service we finally met the General Manager who was aware of my issues throughout the stay but had decided not even to come and say hi, apologies or even try to rectify some of the issues we had encountered. This hotel is in a great location, has a great concept about it but it lacks quality, the hotel is desperate for customers money but you get nothing in return, poor service, lacks quality, and lacks love.... you lost me as a customers and my friends who were booked to stay later in the year

Everybody are really friendly and service minded and meets you with a smile. Restaurant service is efficient and the dishes are beautifully presented as well as tasting really good. Breakfast is adequate but unremarkable. The building itself, located two minutes from the beach, is unpretentious, but well kept and clean. The ground floor and restaurant is wheelchair accessible. However, the hotel does not have a lift. The rooms are spacious with large comfortable beds. Some might find soundproofing somewhat limited. WiFi coverage is fast and reliable throughout the premises. Given the opportunity I would definitely stay again.

Above and beyond expectation
Reviewed By FagmaniueThis was a 2day getaway surprise from my husband for his birthday, just the three of us. We arrived quite earlier than the usual check-in time and as understandable as it was, the room wasn't ready but we were provided our welcome drinks while waiting and my son kept us busy exploring the new surrounding.. its tranquility and ambience was wonderful and the staff were very accommodating in checking in on us whilst we waited to be given a room. It wasn't long when we were told we had the room ready and to our surprise they even had put in a portable baby cot which we hadn't had asked for upon our reservation online. The room was super clean with a long handled-broom, dust-pan and brush and mop with a small bucket in a cupboard, and in my case, i like to keep my space clean and when coming back from the pool drenched wet and walking about- having that mop was a life-saver. The kitchenette was super organised, clean and felt so homely. Even a clothes drying-rack was there for each room so laundry wasn't even a problem. The bathroom was neatly clean with extra towels. The bed was ok with additional comfy pillows and woolen blankets provided on a shelf. Breakfast was great with the attendant been very friendly and kind in ensuring we were ok. The buffet breakfast spread was presentable and being very strict in measures of hygiene that mask wearing when serving was mandatory (because of COVID) and I was glad to see staffs with gloves etc. We had booked a studio but surely was worth what we paid for. A Burger King and InterMarket supermarket were just 5mins walk away with a little mall-like with doctors clinic, vet clinic, cafes and ATM. Thank you to the team for making those 2 days a real getaway for us. Hoping to return soon.

Good value for money in Saint-Gilles
Reviewed By rfroidevauxGood value for money when looking for a 3 stars hotel in St-Gilles-les-Bains. We selected a studio which had an outdoor kitchen and large bathroom. There is also a shared pool to enjoy before 3pm to avoid the shadow. Make sure you have a car before booking this hotel as it is a must. The location is 2km from the downtown on the hills and you’ll definitely not enjoy the stay without a car ;-) We also found the double beds a bit small, at least smaller than average.

Reviewed By ClubGGGQuiet location in Boucan Canot, really 5 minutes away from St Gilles village, this hotel is offering a great escape away from the busy life. The facilities are modern, clean and quiet and the room was nice. Spacious with a separate bathroom and toilet, a terrace over viewing the beach with seating to enjoy the sun or a cigar. The service provided by the staff was excellent: the whole young team is polite, smiling, caring and efficient, a real pleasure indeed to deal with each of them, from the reception to the pool bar and the room service. Congratulations!

Perfect location , walk distance from stores , restaurants , beaches , bus station and ect . the bakery infront of the hotel was open from early hours - it was my breakfast . The place very clean and comfortable owner is super kindly , he helped me so much - thank you !!! Difenitly worth the money

Reviewed By juliancarax8Unbelievably noisy. The cleaning lady is making the room at 07:01 AM of the 1st January, waking up all the guests. Noone speaks English in this hotel. The proper rating would be 1 star and not 3. Worst experience of my life, highly not recommended.

Fantastic family holidays

We had a family room for 02 adults and 02 children which was big enough for us. The room was well cleaned everyday. Nice staff. The meals at the restaurant we good. Well situated hotel
Reviewed By laurie aI spent 6 nights at the hotel.The hotel has a nice pool area and facilities. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The bar and seating by the pool area is very pretty It is very well situated: the prime beach area is only about 250m away. There is a convenience store 150m to the other side. Smaller shops and restaurants/food outlets are all within walking distance. Would definitely recommend!!
