The Côté Lagon was our first accomodation in La Reunion and we knew immediately that the following accommodations could not get better. Such a personal welcome, a beautiful room and a great breakfast with a stunning view. We felt very comfortable and wanted to stay longer.

Lindsey hotel was Great. The room was very clean and modern and we had a great balcony to enjoy our evening wine. Location was also perfect for us. Very quiet, yet walking distance to all the restaurants. Staff was superb. We realized we left some things in our St Denis Hotel. They offered to go get them for us. We did it ourselves, but how awesome! I’d love to come back

Perfect Getaway

We spent one night in the Villa Oté and it was honestly the best experience we have had in a hotel since we have lived here (over 2 and a half years). When we arrived we both got massages from Sandra which were really relaxing!! After we ate at the hotel, it was an amazing 4 course meal. The next morning we ate breakfast there, which was lovely too. Honestly if there is a better quality of service or attention to detail in a hotel on this island I have yet to find it! Can't wait to stay there again, def a lot longer next time!

Very nice little "hostel" near restaurants and the beach

Stayed at this little hostel for 10 nights. Very good place near the beach and a lot of restaurants. The room was perfect for me and my wife. The little gardens where you can sit in the morning and the evening and eat your food is very nice and clean. Perfect and lives up to what it is. We loved this little place :)

Highly recommended

I am very pleased with my stay at this hotel. I was visiting La Réunion for the first time on my own as a young but by no means inexperienced traveller. The staff were exceedingly helpful, the meals I ate at the hotel were of a very high quality (prepared using local ingredients, giving me the chance to try local cuisine) and the room was very spacious (one room being just a shower!!) and cleaned immaculately every day. The hotel was in a brilliant location, within 5km from the busy Saint Pierre, the second biggest town on the island and undoubtedly the biggest tourist town. With this hotel you get the best of both worlds, quiet and isolated whilst remaining very close to the islands big towns and artery roads (a major crossroads). At night, the hotel was very quiet and I had no problems sleeping and the view from the terrace was unbroken hills and beauty until Saint Pierre and the Indian Ocean one side and the Cirque de Cilaos and le Piton des Neiges the other. Every morning my breakfast was served overlooking this breathtaking view, seconds from my room. The pool was well maintained and shared this view. One criticism and one piece of advice: you MUST have a car to visit the island full stop but this hotel is inaccessible without one (5km of very very windy, uphill roads) and unfortunately the wifi didn't stretch to my hotel room but was available in all communal areas. Despite the fact that I am a French speaker, it was by no means imperative. The TV had English channels and all the staff spoke English Well enough to get by. If you are looking for a personable hotel with a friendly (and helpful) manager, nice breakfasts, unrivalled views and a clean, quiet base for your explorations of this stunning island then this is the place for you. My two weeks were amazing. Un grand merci à tout le monde au Soleil Couchant!!

We wanted to spend one night in Saint Louis and we opted for Villa Paille en Queue. Price was great for the 5 of us. Before arriving there, we were a bit septic following some average reviews. However, for the price we were paying, we could not complain. Hosts were helpful and welcoming. Nice swimming Pool. Only downside that we did encounter was the use of the communal shower and toilet for the 5 of us. Not a big issue though if you are with friends or family. Breakfast was ok.

Very pleasant stay

Reviewed By ReisDNA

On our way to Saint-Pierre we stop there for a night. The rooms are on the second floor with a communal kitchen and living. When we were there we were the only guest so we had everything for our own. Good beds, good shower and well equipped but small kitchen. The lady who runs Le Colibri is lovely and helps wherever she can. Good breakfast with all kind of fruit things from their own garden.
