Reviewed By juliagriswoldI was a guest here for a couple weeks for work; we were told by the manager (Ayub) to treat the kasbah as home, and we absolutely did. Our work schedule had us coming home at all hours of day and night, and no matter when we arrived we had a warm welcome with some of the best food I experienced in three months in Morocco, personalized to our requests/tastes/allergies/etc. The chef (sorry, I don't know his name, he was introduced as Chef) is an absolute artist. Coming home at midnight to homemade bedtime soup? We were so spoiled. The service staff is incredible. The sheer delight that Zakaria took in creating custom dining experiences for us (floral arrangements at the dining table, a setup with candles and music next to the pool) made the whole experience that much better. Zakaria and Moustafa were there all the time to make sure we had what we needed, and between them, Ayub, Chef, and the housekeeping staff, they made this experience what it was. Also, the pool is huge and so cool and refreshing. Prior to this we'd been at a hotel with a heated pool and getting into bath water on a hot day is not what you want; their pool was the perfect temperature.

Family feeling in the mountains
Reviewed By Pascale SThe Auberge le maquis offers what so many other hotels are missing: A REAL marrocain experience in a family atmosphere! We went on a great tour with Hicham, where we found 10000 of fruits just growing along the way and had the honour to visit his home where he kindly invited us for a freshly picked vervaine/peppermint tea. Soukeina, the daughter of the hotel owner Saida, showed us a holy place where religions come together and helped ous to buy a Tajine pot for a great price at a local pottery guy. He even let us try out the pottery thing and we made some souvenirs. The cook at Le maquis is fantastic, there was not a single meal that didnt taste great and the costs are cheap compared to Marrakech. We even had the chance to get a cooking class with the cook himself. The Auberge might not have the fanciest rooms but the experience one gets here is unpricable! They even had little kittens and turtles ?

Wonderful stay
Reviewed By Maps29989724870My partner and I stayed here in January and had a fantastic time. We were the only guests (out of season) and were made to feel very welcome. The food was amazing, especially breakfast. I miss those breakfasts even now. The village is charming and the walking fantastic. Nordine set us up with a local guide Kamal, who took us walking in the mountains and shared his love for his home with us. Highly recommended.

Reviewed By ilhamtchikmy friend from Suizerland visited me in Morocco and I want to make her discover my lovely country.I booked some days in Mamouchka last week.it s too much close to Marrakech city.we enjoyed a very quiet stay there.As an architect,i like the hotel's traditional typical style of the architecture and decoration.it s integrates harmoniously into its surroundings.the staff were welcoming and helpful.the area gives you a nice vew on mountains.the swiming pool is very clean.I will stay there again and again and recommend it.

Swimmingpool among the flowers, stardust nights on the terrace and a house Full of beautiful pieces of Moroccan decoration art that can be sold for any client, from the spoons to the room's carpets. Reviewed By Rachel H· Truly one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. We stayed 4 nights and have promised ourselves we will come back every year. Wonderful hosts - who catered to our every need, including an extra birthday cake and special trips to local shops. Food is exceptional, hammam experience was wonderful, the beds and rooms are spotless and so quiet and comfy. You really feel like you're coming to stay with family (just very luxurious family!) Really somewhere to relax and switch off from the world. Cannot recommend enough - à la prochaine!!! Thank you, thank you and thank you again to all involved.

Best Experience in my 10 days Morocco trip
Reviewed By StevenSilvernanKasbah Omar is magical. It was recommended by my travel agent in Toronto. A great hidden place in the middle of an old Jewish Berber village. built in a traditional ancient style of a Moroccan riad but ver rustic and earthy, with amazing view from the roof top restaurant where we spent the entire evening of the 3 days we spent there. The food is very tasty. Learning how to make the Moroccan soup and couscous was very special with our host Abou Omar. Very accommodating as he took us on a hike including a lunch with a Berber family and exploring the hidden path for our second day there. This is the only place where we really felt that we are home away from home while traveling the country. Very good people and highly recommended.
