Le Paradis du Safran

Reviewed By Jane W - Bedford, United Kingdom

We followed the signs on the main Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains road to the Paradis du Safran, not knowing what to expect. We were welcomed by Christine who explained the various routes around this small, accessible and imaginative property navigating the diverse herbs/fruit/sensory experiences. It was very interesting and enjoyable. The 'recyclable/degradbale board' fascinated us all. It was all very interesting and the final activity of the 30 minute route of herb infused footbaths, salt scrubs and argan oil was a delight. A herbal tea ending sealed it off. Highly recommended.

ANIMA Garden

Reviewed By Atllasoftheworld123 - Las Cruces, New Mexico

What a beautiful garden!!! The sculptures, the flowers!!! Splendid!!! We always visit Gardens on our travels! Whether it is Japanese Gardens or Monet's Giverny in France or actually Majorelle in Marrakech!! This one ANIMA is up there with the best!!! The charm of the sculptures that appear along the paths, the various Gardens, from flower to rock Gardens, the diversity of the plants, I could go on and on!!!! So well worth it!!! It is on the outskirts of Marrakech so we took a cab to get there. Cabs are very cheap in Morocco. Well worth every penny!! We also loved the fact that it was not crowded and we could really enjoy it. It is a large walkable garden. You could easily spend a couple of hours enjoying it.
We liked it much more then Majorelle , which I thought was overrated and extremely crowded!! So highly recommend!!!Enjoy!!!

La Source de Tapis

Big store on way to High Atlas Mountains with lots of Morocan carpets, jewelry, and more...most products seemed to be of decent quality but the prices seemed very high...and it is obviously a high priced tourist location with only tour guides taking you there and getting there 3-5% commissions. Seems like 30% discount is the maximum here as well as many other higher end stores in Marrakesh.

Welcome to Morocco Tours

Reviewed By Larisa A

We booked a trip in the Sahara desert and it was the best experience of our lives. We left the hotel around 5 om in the evening, we rode the camel for about 1hour and a half (+ one stop to watch the sunset - which was by far the best view ever) and the we arrived at the camp. The boys served as dinner and after that we made a camp fire. We were all singing, dancing and having the time of our lives. They were so kind and friendly, it felt like we knew them for a lifetime. Around 10.30 they took us to the dunes to just lay on the ground and watch the stars. It was so peaceful and quiet that I would have stayed there for days if possible. After that we all went to bed and woke up at 6 am to go back to the hotel. We stopped again to see the sunrise which was absolutely breathtaking. I strongly recommend Welcome to Morocco Tours! The emplyees are very very friendly and well informed and most importantly, so much fun. + they speak at least 5 different languages which is impresive.

Abdeslam was a guide for my wife and I for four days of trekking in the High Atlas Mountains. He was good company, always with a smile and a reassuring word. He is knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and helped us to spot a wide range of birds including a little owl and a golden eagle. He explained the social structures and challenges the local people faced sensitively and helped us understand more of the local culture.
Abdeslam was clear about how we should tackle the occasional treacherous patch on the path (we were at the edge of the extent of the snow), and generally looked after us well, making sure we were well fed and with enough clean water.
Abdeslam has a great range of contacts in the Imlil valley– our excellent cook was a personal friend of his, and he was on good terms with so many of the people we met.
He was very charming and informative but also understood that there were times when we just wanted to absorb the immense landscape in silence. I would thoroughly recommend Abdeslam as a guide.

Reviewed By Giora_I_L - Haifa, Israel

The Ourika valley is a beautiful area in the high Atlas Mountains that make the trip worthwhile. There you will be surprised to find the sign of Rabbi Shlomo Bel Hench tomb. It is well kept by a Muslim family and you are welcome to pray and lit candles in the compound around the grave. Very interesting.
