Reviewed By touringmattThis part of Japan is slim pickings for good accomodation, and Pension is clean but pretty basic. The pros: quaint log cabins, built around a picturesque private beach Cons: expensive for what you get. No dinner or lunch available, beds are basic, owners are not that interested in working in the tourism sector. You must hire a car to access the hotel and to feed yourself.

Reviewed By Meiko-meimei・駅から少しあります。お遍路の際に利用。 ・部屋は、和室で広々。快適です。 ・夕ご飯がかなり豪華！もう一度食べたいです。。 朝は、少し落ち着いたボリューム。でも、おいしい。 ・洗濯機は200円。昭和？風ですが、洗えるだけでもありがたい。 乾燥機はないので、部屋干し。 さすがに乾ききれず、ドライヤーで乾かしました。 ・スタッフの方も、オープンで優しい。 ・洗面とトイレはセパレート。設備に年数は感じますが、清潔感等には問題ないです。

Totally different from Tokyo or Osaka. Shishikui is very quiet and beautiful place. The room is located next to PavilionSurfShop. We just got made a new Kitchen. Bathroom and ShowerRooms are located in outside. Women and men are separate. Free Wifi, Hammock
Super Relaxed and Comfortable Spot
Reviewed By JFischer48We stayed two nights in this little beachside bungalow, and loved everything about it, especially the hospitality from the owner Shihori. Though the weather wasn't ideal, we enjoyed walking along the shore collecting beautiful shells and listening to the waves flowing in and pulling back. Pavilion Surf is also a classy surf shop with elegant clothing and everything you could possibly need to enjoy Japanese beach life. Shihori will recommend any number of attractions and nearby restaurants. Ask her about Hamabe Pirate BBQ!! Within a block, there's a 7-11, an izakaya and a large hotel with hot spring pools and fantastic restaurants. The lodging itself is simple, clean and comfortable, with easy access to the bathroom and communal kitchen area, where you can find a few fresh vegetables from the garden and other treats. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

A nice quiet place to stay
Reviewed By Michael LIf you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities and more popular spots in Japan, there few better ways to do this than to head down the coast of Tokushima towards Cape Muroto. Yuyu Nasa is located on a hilltop overlooking the ocean, near the small town of Kaifu. The hotel, as most of these types of Japanese inns do, features a hot spring bath for those who wish to do that, although there are in-room showers as well. All the rooms face the ocean, as does the baths and the restaurant. There is also a terrace which is open in more pleasant weather. Dinner and breakfast are included in the price - dinner was a selection of seafood, and the breakfast buffet had both Japanese and Western-style foods. When checking in they will ask you what time you want to have dinner and breakfast - and will have your places set and ready for dinner. We were very happy with both meals. The place was clean and the rooms had a TV and fridge. The staff was also very friendly, and happy to accommodate special requests we had, as we were travelling with 2 small children. It would probably be a good idea to have some command of Japanese here. We had a rather pleasant and relaxing stay. This place is not a surfer hangout (of which there are many on this coast), but rather is a nice quiet place to get away from it all. There are some trails to hike on around the place,but having small children we did not venture very far on these. If you are travelling around the area, doing the 88 temple pilgrimage, or just in for the day, I'd recommend it!

Reviewed By koutakotaroコテージというよりは、普通の平屋の一軒家みたいな感じでした。建物自体は古めですが、内装は綺麗です。各コテージの前に駐車できます。リンスインシャンプーとボディソープ、ドライヤー、食器類、ペット用のゲージはありますが、パジャマやタオル、歯磨きなどはないので持参して下さい。ドッグランもあり、目の前に海岸もあります。ウミガメの産卵で有名な大浜海岸もすぐです。素泊まりでしたが、鳴門金時の焼き芋と、宿の前の海岸で取れた海藻で作ったゼリーの差し入れもあって、宿の方の優しさを感じました。近所にコンビニやスーパーはないので、素泊まりの方は注意してくださいね。

Mitsuka is nestled in the small town of Shishikui which is located along the beautiful coast line in Shikoku Island. This 50 years old traditional Japanese house is decorated with antique Japanese furniture and Kimono. Well prepared home made dinner and breakfast are served on request. Free Wi-Fi is available. As Shishikui is surrounded by mountains and beaches, be able to enjoy outdoor sports.
