Service is superand they have a nice winestube( wine restaurant) where they serve wellcooked food using local ingredienses. we will definately be back again next year

Wonderful hospitality in a historic environment
Reviewed By phoesliThe Hotel Zehntkeller is the ideal place to stay when visiting historic Iphofen. The service, food and accommodation were of the highest level. I have stayed for one night and chose a package where a gourmet dinner was included. The well appointed room was very clean and well maintained with all comfort of a first class hotel. The gourmet dinner with a separate local wine for each course, was very good. The food was freshly prepared with local ingredients and tasted excellent! The service was friendly and competent. The owner of the hotel was around to greet guests, which is a very nice gesture, which only adds to the personality of the hotel. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay and I only can recommend it!

Ein unvergesslicher Abend
Reviewed By Kurt LWir genossen mit einer größeren Wandergruppe einen herrlichen Abend im KLEINEN RESTAURANT,dem ACHTELE in IPHOVEN. Erwartet hatten wir ein sehr gutes Essen, bekamen aber ein "sterniges" Überraschungsmenü mit Weinbegleitung und interessanten Wein- u.v.a. Infos sowie echten kulinarischen Highlights. Alles liebevoll dekoriert, gemütlich,fröhlich-locker - beinah wie bei einer hochkarätigen, privaten Einladung. Das Menü soll am besten Überraschung bleiben - deshalb nur soviel: Es gab einen sous-vide zubereiteten Kalbs-Tafelspitz in delikater Weinsoße wie wir ihn vorher noch nie gegessen hatten. Herzlichen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Abend. Wenn wir demnächst wieder in Iphoven sind - unbedingt auch wieder ins ACHTELE zum Ehepaar Wagner!!

Reviewed By bebetanneI returned to Gasthof Goldene Krone numerous times on this trip-simply because it is not easy in Franconia to find a Restaurant that serves vegetables[outside Red Cabbage+Sauerkraut of course] Had the Grill-Plate a few times with assorted Vegetables,Croquettes,2different Meats and Salad-always tasty.Also tried other dishes and was always satisfied.Especially one needs to eat Game there. Seems I always got the same waitress[the one wearing a Dirndl]and admired her efficiency,friendlyness.Lovely rustic Décor. Of course one has to climb the stairs to use the WC.Well,the prev.owner at age 87 is still working behind the Bar at times,I guess we should try to keep up!

Reviewed By I1601TAmartinbStopped to spend one night, the room was clean, bath too. Parking in front of the “Gasthof”. Breakfast was OK, personal friendly. But if you are looking for something more regarding nightlife than you have to look somewhere else. For dinner you have to go outside, you can find something around but it is also not that interesting. Iphofen has a really nice city center...no 5 stars because not having a kitchen for dinner

Reviewed By Matthias N Ngroßes Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick auf das hauseigene Wildgehege, gemütlicher Frühstücksraum nicht nur zum Frühstücken, Spielesammlung, sehr freundlicher Service, Unterkunft ist einem Weingut angeschlossen, Garten Das Frühstück wird mit 5EUR p.P. dem Zimmerpreis aufgeschlagen. Dafür durften wir uns Brotzeit für die bevorstehende Tagesetappe mitnehmen.
