worth the money
Reviewed By uftgrla nice comfortable cosy place.we stayed over night. rooms are basic, but neat &clean with hot water. the manager was very professional and friendly. the place is a few min tuk ride away from the bus stop and the train station. Dunhinda falls is about a 15min bus ride away. definitely worth the price we paid.

The hotel is 1.5km away from the Badulla city center, 1km away from Badulla Railway Station, 40mins drive to Ella, 1hr 30mins to Nuwara Eliya, and many more tourist attractions. Good: restaurant, excellent and quick breakfast and extensive HB dinner. The party noise sometimes has to be taken for granted for these kind of hotels that thrive mostly on weddings etc. Mixed: room is spacious, but stacked with 3 single beds it still feels packed. Bathroom is badly designed so that 1 minutes of showering already completely floods the floor. Staff service at restaurant friendly, at reception far less so. Outright bad: WiFi. Untolerable slow or even absent. (And btw no driver's quarter, again showing a guesthouse level not a hotel service level and value).

Beautiful, family accommodation in the middle of the jungle ??

The accommodation is in the middle of the jungle. It was gorgeous. Thilina showed us great places and a lot of the culture. He even helped us to plan our next trip. Thanks!!! His mom and his wife are outstanding cooks. The accommodation is very cozy and clean. Thanks for everything, we had a wonderful time my friend!!!

We are within walking distance to Badulla Botanical Gardens , Badulla Cricket Stadium , Vincent Dias Stadium , Hand Rail Bridge ( Ath Wel Palama ) across Badulu Oya , Seetha Gangula bathing spot , Khailagoda Temple and St. Mary's Cathedral , Jumma Mosque , Kataragama Kovil & Hindu Kovil . More attractions nearby include Muthiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya ( Muthiyangana Temple ) & Dunhinda Falls ( both within 10 minutes by car/ tuk tuk ) . Ella Gap , Rawana Falls and Demodera Nine Arches Bridge are within 30 to 45 minute ride by car or tuk tuk .

Reviewed By dianew112We enjoyed our stay at this clean guest house. The host was friendly and helpful and his wife cooked a good breakfast and dinner for us. He also drove us to the train station for a small fee. Our total cost was only 6230 Rs (about $35 US)

Kandy to Ella luxury AC train
Reviewed By Mahilalvisited with my wife on 30 march this year. We went by luxury ac train to Ella from Kandy. This train is available in weekends and public holidays only,its start from kandy 07.40 am and reach 13.30pm to Ella station. This train will be back to kandy same day.its start from Elle 2.15pm. Very comfortable luxury train and you can see beautiful scenaries in upcountry. We stayed at Pearl Guest Inn badulla,as we want to visit badulla They have only non ac rooms,and reasonable rates for locals but can be upgraded for foreigners.
