Reviewed By 474krist_natElegant hotel resort is situated in peaceful place tropical garden nearby delightful Bentota Beach in Sri Lanka. On one side of the hotel is warm sea and on the other side is river named Bentota. In the hotel is swimming pool with excellent water bar where they prepare for you delicious drinks and meals. Furthermore, in hotel area is a gym and place where they make excellent massages. There is also magnific restaurant where you can choose from many types of meals typical for Sri Lanka and from European cuisine. In addition, the hotel is well situated near the beach. While there is a slow descent into the sea, the same cannot be say about waves which were sometimes very big, which may not be suitable for children. In the hotel are friendly staff who prepare for you for example elephant from towels and many other wonderful things for a tip. I really like the opportunity to have a wedding at the hotel which I didn't use because I'm already married. :-) For these reasons, I would recommend going to this hotel young couples without children who maybe think about wedding.

Reviewed By srilankanaidwe stayed in 2017 in Club The reception and employes were very friendly But as the building was very old and we had a room with a connection door to the next room we heard every word of the ppl who stayed there. I think thats why the hotel is closed now We traveled in 2017.

Unpleasant experience
Reviewed By WatbanMI only tried the water sport hub at the resort, was staying in a different hotel. The overall experience was unsatisfactory, the staff of the water sport center were unprofessional and utterly rude with overpriced activities. I paid 35$ for a 15 minute ride on the jet ski, all I got is less than 10 minutes of it, the staff claimed I stretched more than 15 minutes. I tried to contact management in order to sort such behavior, no response came. For water sporting activities, I recommend to go some where else.

Aluthgama, Bentota is one tranquil tours destination described by its vast, warm sun-and-sand beaches and the many thrilling water activities. However, Hotel Hemadan sits harmoniously almost overlooking the best of what this region can possibly offer. Hemadan is situated in a cool, serene locality, far from the noisy town centre although it is just a 15-minute walk from the Aluthugama Railway Station and Bentota Marketplace. If you would like to access the airport, just a 2-hour drive and you are at Colombo International Airport. A guest house taking the face of an award-winning hotel is arguably the best place for anyone touring this region. Hemadan is one of the best places to spend time and enjoy your vacation in with beautiful view.

Reviewed By dasunj2016The garden has a great view with the river right outside. The staff was really friendly and the service was good. I went on day out so i can not give an opinion on the breakfast and dinner. However the lunch was good. The portions were more than enough and the taste was good as well. The room we had was good. The wash room, bed and AC were working properly. Overall there were no major issues and and for the price we paid, it was a great experience. I would definitely come back.

Exceptional river side view as well as near the beach. Good relaxation spa provided. Fresh seafood restaurant and water sports available such as diving and fishing. Indoor family games. Surrounded by many 5 star hotels, this place is great spot as well as safe.

There is a terrace you can sit out on which is facing the river with a couple of chairs on it but no shade so too hot for us to use in the day.We stayed in the deluxe double which is set back from the river with a small outside space facing the road (you couldn’t sit out on this). The room was spacious and clean but thought the bathroom is in need of an upgrade.The guest house doesn’t appear to have many of the facilities advertised any longer, we so no sign of the spa and although we had breakfast (fruit and omelette each day)the restaurant didn’t seem to open evenings . It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach or there were plenty of tuk tuks around . Several restaurants to choose from if you turn right out of the hotel all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The owner was always on hand at the hotel if you needed help with anything.

The hotel offers comfortable rooms with fan and air-conditioning, own bathroom, private balcony with superb sunset river view and free boat transfer to the nearby beach. A full tasty breakfast is available and highly recommended. This all comes at reasonable prices and served with Nuwans, Dineshas and Senuls incomparable Sri Lankan hospitality.

Our hotel is located near the center of aluthgama in bentota near a nice beach , 5 min by tuk tuk or 15 min walk throw very nice villages. This hotel has a big garden with natural temperatured swimming pool. You can order individual lunches and book individual tours. Come and visit us

The garden is beautiful, the swimming pool very well kept and the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. The service was excellent. The manager, Sampath, caters to your every need - transport, sightseeing and any day tot day requirements. In the restaurant, Wasanthe, make sure you get whatever you need. Rooms are kept clean by Kolonne, who makes it his mission to make sure everything is 100%. It is clear the staff takes tremendous pride in their work. The food served was very good. The breakfast is delicious and huge. Same for the dinners. I recommend the Sri Lanka Rice and Curry. The property is not on the beach but transport is easily arranged and very cheap. I will definitely return to Bougain Villa for a longer stay!

Reviewed By HJ2007This is the perfect place to stay. We really can’t recommend it highly enough! We booked 2 nights but stayed 3 as we loved it here. The location is literally 2 minutes walk to the beach, there a couple of places on the beach you can buy cold drinks and a little place to the right hand side you can hire a sunbed if you wish. There are restaurants that Lucky will happily recommend but Luckys wife Maureen’s cooking is AMAZING, the best meal we have had in 6 weeks of travelling, so I would definitely recommend having lunch or dinner whilst you stay. The fresh lime juice is the best too. we stayed in room 1 on the top floor. The room had everything we needed including a fridge, A/C, mosi net, fan, big wardrobe and table and chairs as well as a tv. The bathroom had lots of towels and complimentary soap, cotton wool, shampoo etc. We are interested in wildlife so lucky arranged a boat tour for us on the mangroves, you board the boat at the beach, we saw so many things; eagles, kingfishers, woodpeckers, frogs, a snake, an owl, crocodiles and water monitors and huge fruit bats. We would highly recommend a stay here if you want top class hospitality and a lovely room in a good location.

Lovely little place
Reviewed By robertknghtOur first stop in Sri Lanka and after the trip it is still one of my most memorable. Nimesh and family made us feel so welcome staying with them. The accommodation is a little villa situated right next to the family home on the bank of the river. The garden is lovely and the pool was great. Nimesh helped organise water sports for us that picked us up from the garden itself, super convenient and lots of fun. He even gave us free tuktuk rides about Bentota, as well as great tips for places to eat/drink. Would highly recommend staying at this place, no regrets

Reviewed By Maxi WI stayed in this guest house for a pereiod of three months. Oweners are very friendley & helpful. They provide all your requirments on your request. Very close to Aluthgama town & railway station. Water sports centers are very close by.
