Reviewed By SofianecuFirst of all this hotel , yes this is a 3,5 star hotel in all aspects , is making a grave mistake. It lets dirty cheapy arrogant backpackers and cyclists in for 10 euros only with all the negative consequences. Tip for Xristo. Make the 5 bed a 3 bed and charge double, its worth it! Staff: of very high level for BG standards expect for the Moldovan girl who was rude to a customer twice her age. Cleanliness is excellent. Location : for Kings! Tip for Xristo number 2: Repair wooden stairs ASAP. Its such a shame that mouldy cold "hostels" with greedy , stingy owners in the dirty and noisy downtown charge as much money as this beauty which travels you back in time for free almost! A small, boutique and charming place for retro accommodation, made with a lot of desire and love. It is located in the very heart of Sofia in one of the XX century neoclassical buildings in a central, but peaceful area, just few steps away from the main pedestrian shopping street - Vitosha and on a walking distance from all the important city landmarks - National Palace of Culture, National Theatre.

Olivera welcomed me warmly and set the tone for an excellent stay.What a Star! She handled my check-in very professionally (and was always available to answer questions and assist where possible.) I immediately felt like a valued guest. The studio room is even more impressive than on the photos. It is extremely clean and very well situated. The bed is comfortable and the on suite bathroom large with fantastic water pressure in the shower. What more can you want? The area is safe and central. Exploring the city is exceedingly easy with the nearby public transport stops. There is an array of amenities with everything you might need for even an extended stay. I was so sad to leave this fantastic property. I would be happy to recommend the 5 Vintage Guest House to anyone looking forward to an unforgettable stay Sofia.

A gem right in the heart of Plovdiv
Reviewed By Keith BStayed here for 2 nights and was very pleasantly surprised. I had an extremely quiet room with toilet and shower. I received a welcome greeting on arrival and all necessary information and details for my stay. A bit obscure to find but we'll signed and GPS coordinates are precise. Clean, quiet, comfortable and efficient. Will definitely stay next time I'm in Plovdiv.

Reservation problems
Reviewed By SlovvWe made a reservation and got it confirmed by the hostel. At the evening when we arrived, there was no room for us. It was late... Nobody informed us, even though I wrote to them few hours before just to let them know the exact time of arrival. The owner knew for the mess, but it looked like nobody really cared.

Reviewed By 489ChrisMThe Pop Bogomil family hotel is a no frills budget hotel, I met 3 lady receptionists and all were lovely. I was travelling alone and need a stick to walk, they were all very kind to me. A small double room very comfortable. Lovely bed and so clean. Would stay again.

Reviewed By sadeeyorAlthough it was slightly complicated with door codes, contactless check-in, Angel's instructions were clear, so it was a lot easier than it at first appeared. Angel is an angel. He pops round to clear the decks in the afternoon. (There are a few messy people who don't clean up. I'm hardly perfect myself, but I try to be reasonably tidy.) But what a smashing wee hostel. Cosmopolitan community atmosphere, Scots, English, Ukrainian, Swiss, Czech, French, Belgian, Argentine, German, Korean Texan(!). Sharing stories, food & beer & wine, playing chess, music. I found it so hard to leave. Hostel California. Plovdiv's an interesting atmospheric city, and a visit to Bachkovo monastery was an easy grand day out. Just in case the hostel's full, there's Pijama House just along the road: more privacy I guess without the late laughter & snoring. Not much dearer. All amazing value, fun & comfort. WiFi was a bit hit or miss at times, as was warm water, but not grumbling: Pijama Hostel is cheap & very cheerful. Mnogo Blagodarya, Merci Monsieur Angel. Wonderful memorable times.

Best hostel in Varna
Reviewed By Robin JI was originally just going to stay at the hostel for 2 days, but had to extend my stay for 8 days. Because this place is just to amazing. James and Tonnie are just the perfect people to run this hostel. The atmosphere and the activities here are so fun. They got drinking games for days like beerpong, battleshots, flip pong, card games beer bongs, and they have bingo cards for visitors. Different parties every night in golden sands. They also got a very nice cinema room to chill and watch movies. This is my favourite place on earth right now. I felt welcome from the first moment I stepped foot in this place. I will definitely come back here. ❤️✌️

STAY AWAY! Worst experience ever
Reviewed By Kim_0804After 8 hours of travelling the receptionist told us that our room was over booked.The owner Vesselina Atanassova was so disgustingly rude saying things like you can stay here all day for all I care, a room won't burst, or it's not my problem, I dont have the need to help you. Instead of apologising and finding us an alternative she was getting into a rage. We ended up having to stay at another hotel and paying the difference ourselves. I wouldn't even dare dream of staying there!- STAY AWAY
