I have been in the Hegaublick with my two old parents. It's great for old and disabled people as you can enter even levelled and there is a disabled toilet on the same floor.The restaurant is very nice. We sat in the conservatory and had a great view over the Hegau.The food was very good. The portions generous. We had game ragout and salad. Salad is excellent with nice dressing. The ragout was very good with buttered Spätzle.The staff was sufficient and very friendly.The price is more on the high side but you get what you pay for. We will be back.

Im Rahmen einer weiteren Schulung war ich wieder Gast im Cubi Star. Obwohl Küche und Restaurant aufgrund besonderer Umstände eigentlich geschlossen waren, wurde für uns Schulungsteilnehmer vom kurzfristige eingesprungenen Ersatzteam ein spezielles Menue aus dem Hut gezaubert und trotz der erschwerten Situation hat dieses Mal das Gesamtpaket einfach rundum gepasst. So sollte es immer sein & vielleicht sollte das Ersatz-Team zum permanenten Hauptteam werden!War ich in der Vergangenheit nicht immer von der Qualität überzeugt, so war und es dieses Mal ein wirklich kulinarischer und optischer Genuss! Der Tisch war für uns Schulungsteilnehmer sehr schön gedeckt, der Salat zum Hauptgericht bot eine interessant Abwechslung, die ich in dieser Art und Weise noch nicht kannte, gerne aber wieder esse: Karottensalat mit frischer Ananas, abgeschmeckt mit etwas Honig und frischem Pfeffer, garniert mit grünen Oliven und grüner Salat mit selbstgemachtem Joghurt-Dressing. Da hätte es gerne etwas mehr sein dürfen, so lecker war das! Zum Salat wurden zwei Pizzas vom Blech gezaubert, die es mit jeder italienischen Pizzeria hätte aufnehmen können. Auch die nachspeise war ein echter Hammer! Quark-Creme mit Honig verfeinert und Wassermelonensauce. WOW, das hat echt reingehauen!Ganz ehrlich, liebes CubiStar-Team, heute habt Ihr Euch hier ein riesiges Lob verdient! Krisenmanagement, Flexibilität, Service und Kreativität waren genauso herausragend wie Geschmack und Qualität der Speisen. Wenn Ihr immer so ein Ergebnis abliefert, dann werdet Ihr noch ganz groà in Sachen Essen in Engen!

Dining with a mountain view, just spectacular. This is the main asset of this restaurant. Food is reasonably tasty. personnel is ok. Hotel accommodation is above the restaurant. Lucky if you have a mountain view. We were not lucky. An apartment below the restaurant were for our other friends. Basic and not so welcoming ! But for the location is great !

It is a small place with huge portions, tasty pizzas and delicious salad. I happened to be there just because my friend lived neverby in another small German town Singen, and she with her family came there a lot because of their cousin. I personally saw people taking huge packages of food with big bowls of sauce that made any piece of food delicious. I liked their white wine too, I am a bit tired of word - delicious (as you may be as well) in this article, but man, it truly was so!!despite I had a plate landed on my by a mishap of the waiting person, I have no personal grunges and I really like people to know about this place!

Weâd spent the day down at Lake Constance & were driving home. We were hungry & decided to take the next exit off the autobahn to the next village to find a place to eat. We drove into Engen, parked & walked upon the Stadkrone. Entering, there was one 2-person table free... delighted we were seated. Our dinner was off the charts fabulous... I had the pork steak... weâre looking forward to going there again soon!

Wirklich eine sehr gute bürgerliche Küche. Preise moderat und guter, freundlicher Service. Parkplätze kostenlos direkt vor dem Haus. Tolle weihnachtliche Dekoration. Sehr gute Kaffeequalität!

Habe heute die Mittagspause mal wieder für einen Abstecher in die Rastanlage Ost genutzt. Wie immer war die Auswahl riesig und die Auswahl dadurch nicht gerade einfach. Einfach und bodenständig sollte es heute wieder mal sein und daher habe ich mich für die Bratwürste mit Kartoffelsalat entschieden. Das Fazit: erstklassige Wahl, es hat wieder prima geschmeckt - vielen Dank liebes Team von der Rastanlage Ost!

Despite all good reviews, Iâm a bit disappointed in this restaurant. On a busy Friday evening we arrived. We booked the table before, that was fortunate since the restaurant was fully booked. As an appetizer we received a bread with a garlic topping (a kind of Philadelphia). As a main dish I ordered the Schweine Steak Jäger art. The meat was excellently cooked, the sauce was to thin with canned (not fresh) mushrooms and it overall it lacked taste. The spätzle however were again excellent. I ordered a side salad, which was tasteful (indeed an excellent âdressingâ), but needs some rework in presentation. My wife ordered the âchef saladâ, recommended by many other reviewers and she was happy with her choice. It was a bigger version of my side salad, with some pork gyros strips on it. Not wat was expected by a positive surprise since pretty tasteful!The interior is cozy, the waitress did what it needed to do, but failed to make a connection to the guests; missing empathy.Why the disappointment? First of all, the price was too high, my pork steak with spätzle and side salad was overpriced for >20â¬; you can get better food for a fairer price in the region. Second, serving canned mushrooms is a culinary criminal offence⦠I rest my case.2 out of 5.

We 've not actually eaten here - more like coffee break en route . But the terrace outside at the beginning of October was brilliant , with mountains visible the other side of Lake Konstanz . station was very clean , light, airy & pleasant . With paintings on walls even . felt like a very relaxed low key shopping centre - everything was there- papershop, resaurant, toilets - even a cashpoint . Apparently it's won loads of awards - fair enough . Since it's in the middle of nowhere - Ok , near Engen I guess, I wouldn't have thought it an ideal night dining spot . At least not with one's own wife ...

This is a great intimate restaurant focusing on high quality good value food with excellent service. The menu regularly changes with seasonal specialities reflecting the best of whatâs available from the surroundings making for a tasty tour of some of the best food around. The venue is tucked out of the way in a small village but itâs well worth the trip and make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment. Also has a chefs table for larger groups in a dedicated space making it great for Apero or functions if needed!
