The restaurant was located in the lovely cobbled streets of Alkmaar - parking close was an issue, but there was a multi-story a short stroll away.The restaurant was quite busy (probably worth booking at peak periods). The food was very tasty (although the portions were typically quite small). The wine list was excellent.Overall, the cost was appropriate with the quality of the food.Would go back.

This is a seriously good restaurant in central Alkmaar. The menu is small but everything we tried was delicious, from the hard and soft goat cheese salad to the vegetables en croûte main dish and the poffertjes for desert. The host brought us a different and thoughtfully paired wine for each course and explained why he thought the wine matched the dish in question. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The experience was positive from beginning to end!

A new weekend in Alkmaar And a new disappointment for dinner. This is a restaurant where the food portions are very small. Despite the nice weather we were able to get a table. The restaurant has a nice athmosphere with friendly staff. The menu is compact with fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. There is a good wine card and our wine (Sanoma County Zinfandel) was great. This restaurant deserves to be in the top spot in Bergen!

Try the 'langedijkerkoolschotel", real great and a menu from holland. There's a museum nearby: nice for adults and children it's called: broekerveiling. They have a very old restaurant and different places where you can eat. Great decorated, nice friendly staff and a large room for party's like a honeymoon. Go and see for yourselve.

If you are up for it go for the surprise menu. Really nice dishes. A small, cosy and quite environment. Unfortunately not always to crowded, especially if you come later (after 7pm) in the evening you will end up being the last guest soon (after 10pm).

This so called lunchrestaurant, or brasserie, (it never was a real restaurant to begin with, more a dayactivity center for a certain youthgroup) has closed its door. Can't say I'm surprised because there were sporadically guests. It will become a communitycenter if I'm right and when open you can buy a drink. The restaurantactivities will move to a other city and will go on under the name "Keuken met karakter" (kitchen with caracter)

This restaurant is situated about 50 meters away from the tourist attraction 'Broekerveiling' an former floating greenery auction.It's a small but cozy restaurant. Very friendly hosting together with an excellent menu and high quality food. We tried the 'surprise diner of 4 courses' combined with a 'wine menu'. It's a must have and guarantees a splendid evening for a couple or with friends.
