We went hoping to get some delicious pizzas before flying home (Pisa Airport is an eight minute drive) however I did not realise that they don't serve pizzas at lunch time. The menu came in Italien but the helpful waiter helped us to choose. We had the meat/cheese platter for two (our first for the holiday) which was delicious. Secondly we had - different to the printed menu - spaghetti bolognese which was the best we had ever tasted.This is not an upmarket establishment HOWEVER it is very clean and well laid out. It has an outdoor terrace and very smart, clean toilets. While we ate there, there was a steady stream of locals and workmen who can to eat and chat and recharge ready for an afternoon of hard graft. This is a wonderful establishment..

This subway is situated almost beside the leaning tower. As they charge into toilets around the area it's worth going in here for a coffee or a sandwich and using their facility. You will have to queue only one toilet for all the customers. Also an outside area where are you can sit in the shade. Subway is a subway is a subway,very little difference all around the world. Tiny place but reasonably efficient even for a Subway. staff speak reasonable English and pointing is always the international language of everything

We accidentily ran into this place in its small street. We were surprised and charmed by the cosy atmosphere and great, pure Italian food! Highly recommend this place.

Visited on a Tuesday evening in February. Only a few other people in the place so not a lot of atmosphere. It's a typical small osteria with a limited menu but the food was excellent. The stuffed squid was superb and the lamb chops perfectly cooked. A lovely meal and very reasonably priced.

Speciality of the Day Tuna, offered ouside the set menu, grilled or baked with breadcrums sounded attractive, specially when I asked what Tuna is was, Yellow Fin.Great, 3 orders please all grilled, that`s where the disappointment kicked in, 3 times so overcooked with nothing Pink or reddish left, just a grey dry texture, a faillure from the kicthen, far to long in de pan, pff a beginners mistake,Reclamation to the waiter, let to NO result, just the short answer, you need to talk to the manager, that`s it.The ambiance of the place made some good, its has this historic atmosphere, so typical for Tuscany.If around again I will walk in for a coffee or so en leave the dinner thing.

My partner & I read the reviews on TripAdvisor & werenât disappointed! The pizzas were well worth the wait! Delicious flavoursome pizza! I had the tomato, basil & oregano & my partner had the egg & bacon based pizza! Ingredients were so fresh!!! The wait was quite a while - maybe 45 minutes but if youâre not in a rush, would definitely recommend! Had heard and read a lot a good things about this place, so was looking forward to the meal. . However i was really disappointed. The starters ( a selection of antipasti) were OK, but nothing stood out. MY main course of sea bream was slightly overcooked, and was served with potatoes, which were the best thing about the dish.My son who was with me and my guests were also underwhelmed by the food we were served. Certainly not memorable experience.Dear Horsedeal,i'm very sorry to hear that yr experience was not as you expeted.Unfortunatly, you don't mention when you visited our restaurant, so for me it's difficult to recall you.I hope you Will give us a second chance and pls do em me if you need asssistance for the area in the future, [email protected]

We went recently for the 2nd time in a few years. The first time we went, we had a lovely meal & experience hence our return. It's a small family restaurant & the food is very nice, especially the pasta. However we felt that the service was exceptionally slow and lacked any friendliness. We had 2 waiters, the younger one was less frosty but the other waiter was decidedly unfriendly until the last few minutes when he saw that we left a 10 euro tip. Then he was all smiles. Surely customer service is one if the most important parts of running a business.

We ate at this establishment while on a European motoring holiday. We were told by the locals that this was THE place to eat true authentic pizza - how right they were. Service was brilliant throughout. No artificial/ frozen/ ready made/ pre-prepared produce at this place. Everything is fresh.Our pizzas were cooked to perfection - the size of them being in a word - HUGE. The taste ?Everything on the base was cooked to perfection, each ingredient came through, enabling you to enjoy the wonderful flavours. The dough base was absolutely perfect.Highly recommend this place - definately one for the world gastro map.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. I was not sure if all the hype in the reviews should be taken seriously but after two weeks in Tuscany, this restaurant stands out as the best food we had the entire time. The muscles were exquisite, my spaghetti Vongole was exceptional and my husbandâs pizza was extraordinary. Iâm running out of superlatives to describe our evening there. Just GO!!
