Another good Lonely Planet recommendation.Arrived in Ella on the bus to find rain. So had a coffee and came up with a plan of action. Sitaâs Heaven was recommended and it was a short walk away. We braved the rain and found it easily. It is a walk or short ride away up the Passara Road. The owner was very helpful throughout the stay. He provided an A4 sheet with a map and list of suggestions for visiting. The room was good, everything worked. However you must have breakfast on the balcony as the views of Ella Rock are fantastic. We were lucky enough to see a monkey stride across the guard rail as we were having breakfast.We climbed Ella Rock and walked to the Nine Arches Bridge. Both well worth the effort. Recommended.

Ravana's wife cooked up a feast. The veg. Curry had great flavorful chunks of pumpkin and her coconut sambal is the best we've had. Our friends had the kottu which had lots of egg and fresh veggies (unlike sometimes when it's just a mass of fried rotti). Great price and quieter than eating in down in the main Street in Ella.

We were looking for a late night bite to eat in Ella and came across Burger Brew. It had a good selection of sandwiches and burgers along with some Sri Lankan choices. We were in the mood for some cheap Sri Lankan khottu and got their cheese khottu which was really tasty. The service was great and we got a free bottle of water with our meal which was a plus. It's a well decorated and comfortable place that is open-aired and located on the second floor of the building. They also had some good music playing. Would recommend! Definitely back next time we're in Ella.

Amazing local restaurant, close to the center, and not busy, if you wanna escape the touristic place and fake local food with crazy prices go there! Really tasty food, best curry ever, and don't forget the coconut sambol!! The quantity is very good,and it's cheap! The people are friendly

While in Ella I went back to Chef House twice as the food was great, service was great and the atmosphere was very friendly. The host is really making an effort, full of useful advice for travelers. The lassi was excellent and Iâd recommend you try the deviled chicken; ask for a little spiciness or else you might be a little disappointed if youâre used to it;)Hi!Welcome to Sri Lanka. We ate and drank here twice. Good food - wine as well as beer - the waiting staff Hasanka and Prakash were great - nothing too much trouble and very chatty.The dream cafe is set up high on the main street so great for people watching. Nice tables and unlike next door plenty of space between the tables. Go!

Lovely place,colourful art all around,forest view :-) We ordered kitty and rotti,everything was hot and tasty,acceptable spicy and not oily,that is important. Milkshake was rich and sweet how I like. Very friendly smiling stuff,just pleasure to be there. And very comfortable location,right on the way to little Adams peak. Love it!

These guys make the BEST pizza! The pizzas are huge too! We wanted to keep eating but we were too full. Super fast, friendly service and the pizzas are wood fired right on front of you. Highly recommend and would definitely visit this place again.
