Came following a recommendation, friends had been before and praised the Asparagus (crunchy)... nice setting, even though most eaters were outside we went in, just as well because the heavens literally opened. I went for the Vissoep for starters - now you could be given a good or great fisshoup - it was neither, it has to be the tastiest and probably most satisfying soup I've ever had - a fishy broth with a scallop, prawn and mussel, it was absolutely superb. Waiting staff kept us busy with appetisers and bread (without having to ask), superb. Main dish of asparagus and liverham with hollandaise sauce was excellent, plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately no room for desert. Price reasonable and nice ambience. If one place deserved an extra start - it's here

Having been here a few times, I was surprised that the restaurant was listed no. 22 of restaurants in Emmen when It could be a lot better then that. Almost all ingredients are there, but the right recipe has not been found yet. Location is not bad, and the place has a very nice feel to it. We were sitting outside in a spacious aria at the front of the restaurant. Drinks were served quickly. So, the setting was there. But what was missing ? Hmm perhaps that the food was just good, nothing special. Meat ( Rib Roast ) a bit dry, and the tomato soup was almost a diluted Pasta sauce. Too creamy and cheesy. but all in all, not bad at all. The service was kind and helpful but during dinner they left the table unattended for too long of periods. I guess the place just needs a bit more professionalism. Paying a bit more attention to details. Taking away used plates quicker, and come by a bit more often to check for drinks. So, could be better, but 22nd is certainly not deserved !

A fine snackbar with all the famour dutch snacks. Good quality and good service. You can take-away or eat in, but expect long waiting times around dinner time as they are often quite busy with all the orders.

We got Salad for 2 creative and very well presented, also pork tender loin and a t-bone, both main dishes with nice veggies, fries and coleslaw included. Great service, very gentle and helpful. Recommended.

We were in Emmen because we were going to the MotoGP at Assen 25 minutes away. We found Chef Burger thanks to Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. Good value. A warm welcome and we shall return.

I stayed with my sister and we decided to try this relatively new restaurant in Emmen. The ambiance is very nice with very attentive staff. The food was absolutely fabulous. My sister had âHete Roofkipâ a Thai chicken recipe and myself tried the âRendangâ a Malaysian beef stew. Both mains were perfect, we would recommend to add rice instead of chips/potatoes. The accompanying salad was perfect too. Highly recommend Thank you!
