This chain of restaurants is very popular with the local people: They offer very friendly and good service, cheap meals (not "Haute Cuisine" odf course) and a very good value. It is more like a bar/ restaurant/ Café mix.The food is cheap and mostly good, also quite some choice for vegetarians is offered. Big breakfasts and lots of porc dishes, as the names suggests (Schwein = pig). So just sit back, enjoy the big dishes for little money and the very familiar and friendly atmosphere.I was in this one last week with my son and he was thrilled. I had rather him eating here than in all those disgusting fast food places....

This is our favourite local restaurant in this area of Western Hamburg. Very consistent food, simple but always good quality. The menu changes quite regularly, but with some standard items as well. Inside is very cozy, and in warmer weather there is a lovely shady garden where you can dine. You can hardly believe that you are in the city of Hamburg as it is on the edge of a park, and very peaceful.

This restaurant was a bit of a find for lunch at Teufelsbrück river bus pontoon. The staff were very pleasant, the food extremely enjoyable. We sat outside on the first floor and the Airbus runway is directly opposite across the Elbe, which can provide some spectacular sights!Overall, certainly worth a visit.

I frequent the place at least once a month and I wasn't disappointed until now. As starters they mainly serve tapas, but always ask for the daily special, as it changes. Last week I had a grilled carrot on carrot mouse. The mouse was excellent with strong, but not overwhelming flavor. Then you can chose usually between 2 main courses. I had the fish. Perfectly pan fried, with enough juice, but not too dry. On top were black truffles. Although the truffles were not too strong in their flavor, it was a perfect mix with the fish.The restaurant usually has a couple of wines, which are also changing from time to time. We tried the Portuguese White one, which was not fruity, more to the flower, fresh hey style with many woody notes. Not perfect for a lone summer evening, but very good to the fish. The place is excellent for parties of maybe 20 to 30 people and it feels cosy. I prefer to sit in the main room and not along the wall at the side. Table reservations are really necessary, but I found that if you come early, that they might be able to squeeze you in. The service is very observing, fast and very helpful when you cannot decide what to eat, and it is not the most expensive choice, but one that fits with the other dishes you order. I am looking forward to go there again.

The place is just another German restaurant, but the quality of the food is beyond expectation. The polite and friendly staff makes the place one of my favourites while in Hamburg. Been here alone and with colleagues too and left with extreme satisfaction. Will revert soon.

After having a little diffuser finding the actual entrance we made our way through the Biergarten upstairs into the restaurant. The whole place is very authentic from the building to the waiters and the menu.We had a great evening with large group of people. Enjoying seasonal food in Austrian style, great desserts and awesome spirits.All meals were prepped perfectly and for this untypical cuisine in Hamburg the prices are moderate.

Top tip: take the 10 o'clock Hanseferry "Kleine Freiheit" from Landungsbrücken in Hamburg to Blankenese, spend an hour or so wandering through the lanes admiring the old fisher Cottages, then have an excellent fish lunch, with good wine accompaniment, before taking the 1.50 p.m. Ferry back to Hamburg, which includes a tour of the Container Harbour. Great value for Money (â¬18 for 2 hour Ferry trip) and the fish lunch was excellent!

Most of the dishes served here reminded me of something I had eaten elsewhere, the difference being that they were more fine-tuned here; Jacobs demonstrates how good ideas can be refined to unexpected heights. Excellent selection of wines by the glass (thanks to Coravin), attentive and very competent service. I was there on a Thursday evening, which afforded the added pleasure of live piano music in the background. Impressive river views.

This was probably the best dinner I ever had. I had seen many highly decorated places, but never before have the expectations been exceeded lit at Seven Seas. I won't write about the food, s it was just for a different world in all aspects.Service was extremly attentive and friendly.Except for one bottle, we did leave the selection of the wines to the sommelier and have been extremly happy with his choices.
