Unlike what many people think, it is not the L'Europeo that is the best Italian in town: L'Europeo may be a match in authentic Italian cuisine, but this adds the charm of the old bakery building it is set in - hence the name "Panetteria". Tucked away around a corner in the most unlikely of settings, and right opposite the ultimate-in-charm Gross Flottbek Farmer's market, this place is fun to go to already and just take a seat. Never mind the family running this joint is Portuguese - they have been here for generations, literally now in the third, and know their trade. Make sure you have a reservation if you come around the weekend - insider hint it may be, but there are plenty of insiders and prominent guests who appreciate this gem. Great for families too in the early evening hours, as they understand their needs and are forgiving hosts if things do not always go according to etiquette. Enjoy !

The Dolce Vita is a pleasant Italian in the centre of Halstenbek within walking distance for the S3 tram from Hamburg Centre.I used to live close by and love their under â¬20 surprise four-course menu which i must have eaten over a dozen times and it was always delicious, generous and well worth it, introducing me to dishes i would most likely not have ordered otherwise.Their pizzas are also delicious and baked to perfection.

In Halstenbek, on the edge of Hamburg with direct access with the S Bahn, a very good italian trattoria with great food. My wife and I loved the atmosphere, brasserie city like. The staff and service were very friendly, efficient and fast, everything a trendy brasserie should have. The antipasti for 2 which was copious and perfect as starter.The main courses were delicious, the pasta in particular with its unique duck sauce. The desert was a simple but excellent panna cotta with blueberries. A place to recommend where we'll be returning.

I was here one evening after walking about in Treppenviertel. I went inside with my friend, to our surprise there were quite some people in the restaurant, alas it didn't feel lonely and you had that vibe that something was happening. It is an Italian restaurant so the guys say all the Italian things like "prego, grazie and buena cera". It does not come off as pretentious, but there was one guy walking about with a "hard" face not saying a word serving, taking dishes. I assume this guy does not speak german. Still I would find it nice if he learned two words like "Can I take it?" or "you are welcome". Main dishes range between 22-30â¬, pasta dishes about 20â¬. Our bill for two people, one bottle of water and desert landed on 64â¬. It was tasty, fun and atmospheric. I can only recommend.

I am a great fan of Italian Cuisine and I was really impressed by Fellini.It's a small cafe with traditional Italian menu. But its pasta... incredible. Also you should taste exquisite desserts and fine wine. It's a piece of Italy... not modern busy Italy with its fusion, but old Italy you can see in Sophia Loren movies.

positive to mention is the interiour and friendly service. The food is intolerable according to the high price. I paod 14 ⬠for a thin "pizza" without tomatoe sauce and a tiny layer of ingrediences. The dough had more in common with a "flammkuchen" but definitely not with a good pizza. It was far from satisfying and moreover tasteless.
