Die Weisse is a quintessential biergarten located in a quiet section of Salzburg. We were told that it is primarily frequented by locals; but, there were many tourists there on the night that we visited. They have both indoor and outdoor seating in a casual setting. We selected some of the local specialties and were very pleased with our selections. This restaurant is worth seeking out.

Johanneskeller is situated on a very busy street with several other restaurants. If you can sit outside, you have lots to observe while waiting.Their menu included tzatziki, which was a pleasant, light starter. The main dishes - Schweineruckensteak - were more than enough in size, resulting in that we did not have room for a dessert.The service was quite OK - though immediately after seating us, the waitress started by telling what dishes on the menu were not available. Of course it was fair to tell that as soon as possible, but on the other hand it was not very nice to hear. Tzatziki and the Blaufrankisch wine were quite good, but the pork had some tough pieces.The prices were rather acceptable.

My husband and I tried to eat dinner here on Monday, March 4th at 7:15 pm. We were asked if we had a reservation, and then rudely turned away. We saw that one dining room was completely empty. I'm guessing they were short of kitchen or wait staff help.Dear Bucherma, I am very sorry that you didn´t get a table at our Restaurant. I am not sure, but probably we served dinner in our smaller Dining room that night and this may be was full.May be you will visit us again - with Reservation in Advance please - during your next visit to Salzburg.All the best, Sylvia

Great food! Not expensive yet very tasty. Super friendly owner who makes you feel very welcome. The brewery is slightly outside Salzburg altstad but close enough. Authentic atmosphere.

We came for a quick dinner before driving back to Germany,we have ordered Halibut fish that was served with half a Lobster and pasta that was deliciousMy wife enjoyed the prawns that were served with vegetables.The wine list is a bit small and a bit overpriced.The food was done in excellent as well skilled way.We definitely recommend

Visiting Salzbury in early January, the restaurant was quite quiet. Dietary and allergy requirements happily accommodated, and expertly handled during the serving. The vegetarian tasting menu was delicious, as was the wine pairing which complemented the dishes beautifully (my waitress even substituting a wine for another Austrian one when Iâd expressed a particular interest in Austrian wines). Commendably, unlike any other fine dining restaurant Iâve visited, their vegetarian tasting menu is cheaper (reflecting the lesser cost of sourced ingredients).Finally, as a whisky fan I was pleased to discover an Austrian whisky on the menu. Whilst Iâm predominantly a Scotch drinker, I was very impressed. Definitely worth a try as an digestive.

This was our favorite restaurant in Salzburg! The food, waitstaff and views were amazing! They had a variety of foods (some austrian, and others different types.) The prices were also very reasonable! Definitely recommend visiting here if you're in Salzburg!

Canât say enough. Book in advance. Only one seating each night. If you can request Thomasâ section do it (only 2 sections). Food was incredible. Pumpkin soup best in the WORLD. Moderately priced as well. We live in Chicago...this meal would have cost double there. We will be back.

See seperate review of Schloss M but when you see locals eat at a place you know you are in the right spot. Not a "walkable" option in Salzburg but take a taxi to a top shelf location.Chef has been there 13+ years which is another good sign. Not for budget folks ( go to Augustiner just at bottom of the hill for that ) but incredible. Josef will leave you smiling....hopefully the woman chef is on duty making ravioli of any kind but the polenta ravioli were outstanding. Also, Austrian wines run and don't let inexpensive price fool you. They are top quality and highly recommended. We visited here during a trip to Salzburg. We wanted high end cuisine for a special occasion, and an attractive venue. This location ticked these boxes.The restaurant and casino are located in Schloss Klessheim, a grand manor house and attractive gardens. We were there for the surroundings and restaurant, not the gambling, but you can do this too.We were seated in a comfortable corner table in the attractive dining room. We started with some good champagne and amuse bouche of smoked ham. For starters we had the duck comsomme and fish carpaccio, both excellent and well presented, excepting a slight liquid spill (not cleaned up) from the soup plate - a minor complaint, but not what is expected in a venue like this.For mains we had the steak and duck dishes. The duck was excellent and served with calvados sauce and apples. The steak was good although slightly overcooked, as it came out medium, not med-rare as requested.Desserts of coffee parfait and hazelnut were very good although placed on the table without explanation as to what they consisted of. Again, a minor complaint, but not what is expected here.The wine list is good and extensive. We had a bottle of St Emillion. We would return, the servers are friendly and pleasant.
