Lovely old building, going back many centuries. The main room has a great atmosphere for sitting and drinking the local pils. We came here on two evenings, one for a meal and the other for drinks only. I can't recommend the food (deep fried, not nice) but the beers are very good and fairly priced.Each visit was very nice and we enjoyed the quaint surroundings, so I would suggest that you ate elsewhere but came here afterwards to enjoy a nightcap.

1920, Four-sided gambrel-style hip roof with façade risalite. Its annex (present Gästehaus Ingrid) was built 1699-1702. Family Kochhäuser bought it in 1973 and converted it to an accommodation with 9 rooms. Located under the House an arched cellar where wine tastings are held.

Der Koppelstein ist leider nur Durchschnitt...an dem Tag war einfach Hausmannskostbufett..Suppe war ok..Salat typisch alte Hausmannskost..mir mich leider zu al dente, wie bei Omi...bietet Mittagsbufett...bietet Geburstagsfeiern..und Beerdigungen...sag schon viel...halt rustikal....ich würde dort alleine nicht Essen gehen ...

Before heading back to the states we decided to go to this hidden gem weâve heard so much about from relatives. Long story short - food was spectacular, everything from the salad to the veal ragu to the off-menu schnitzel the charismatic owner prepared for us. Ambience was terrific, old vintage wood in a timeless mill, friendly restaurant patrons, cozy setting, and a very accommodating wait staff. Highly recommend to anyone traveling near the Boppard/Koblenz area. If the owner is reading this....please open a restaurant in Boston!

We had dinner; wiener schnitzel veal for me and instead of fries I had a beautiful large salad. My husband had the special tender beef cheaks with rosemary potatoes. He could not believe how tender the beef was, using only his fork! Wonderful service, wine, beer and meal. Highly recommend!

We struggled a few times to get a seat at this popular restaurant, but finally slotted in on Tuesday night, though we shared a table German style with a Scottish couple. We both had the pumpkin soup, and then she had Spare ribs and I had Cordon Blue. Good and service excellent.Wir können uns gut an sie erinnern - vielen Dank für Ihren Besuch!! We attended an evening of dining with entertainment one night during our visit to Marksburg. The entertainers were very entertaining, providing us with music, juggling, and acrobatics. We enjoyed a meal of soup and suckling pig, chicken, pork tenderloin, and stew, with a tasty yogurt based dessert. We had a great evening.

Disclaimer: only stopped in for a beer and didn't eat. But all expectations met for a tasty local beer served in a fancy glass. Visit on the quiet afternoon included foreign tourists, German tourists and locals. Great staff and attentive service. On the cute Marktplatz, central location. They were one of a couple places that were actually open on a Monday afternoon in late July.

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend in the hotel Zum weissen Schwanen, and we had a perfect time. The hotel is very comfortable and very romantic, perfect for couples. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety (smoked salmon, fruits, cheese table, breads, charcuterie, jams etc and juice, tea and coffee) and - what we both found awesome - paper bags to prepare your lunch! That was such a nice touch that the hotel won us right there.The atmosphere is great in this old, rustic house with a mill inside. Personal friendly, good food, comfortable room. Definitely worth the visit!
