God facilities, poor service

Reviewed By 535markop

Infrastrucrure is very good. Shuttle bus is free of charge, precise and function exceptionally sheduled with trains. We liked whole concept with various activities. Enough space indoors. Minus is sunbeds which are occupied the whole time. It should be used by need, not reserved with personal towels unlimited time. However, sevice is poor. Not very kind personal on counter, not very qualified as well. Basic mistakes, and you will not hear "we are sorry for inconviniece". Many employees do not speak english, and seem that they dont care about it at all. Restaurant palm beach was a story for it self. We get wrong order, extra drinks charged. Glutenfree dish was specially repeated to waiter, and we got a cesar salad without crutons, BUT with bread on top of salad. When we said to waiter that we ordered glutenfree, he easily picked the bread with bare hands!?!?!, and put it on another dish on the table!!! When we complained, we gott another dish. Chief waiter was standing there without saying any sorry or trying to fix the issue. I think more of the half of stuff is polite and decent, but the rest is just below the acceptable level. Even concept is unique, infrastructure is very good, I have to think twice about next visit because of poor service.

Camping in style

We had the chance to spend a night at the Camping Resort in Bodenmais last week. The Resort is situated just about a mile outside Bodenmais. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Check-in was painless. The Resort is beautiful and newly build. It has a pool, a spa, a restaurant with a Biergarten, a playground and playhouse for kids. Camping Resort is very clean and the food in the Biergarten is amazing. Best of all, however, is the "out-of-this-world" sunset at night!

Lovely stay

Reviewed By Corina M

We stayed at the "Witch house". A beautiful looking traditional style German cottage from if I remember correctly the 13th century, indeed in the style of the witch house of Hans and Griddle. The house is spacious, with a little garden and a porche next to a stream with a water mill. The kids were having fun building dams or were finding secret ways around the house. There are 3 beds on the second floor and 2 matrassen on the attic and if needed there is a sofa in the living room that can be made into a bed. There is a BBQ/fire place in the garden so we grilled steak and spareribs a few evenings and sat next to the fire till very late which was lovely. The kitchen is fully equiped to make dinner. We made a few trips to Rothenburg ob der Tauber (must do), Wurzburg (very nice), Bamberg and an out door pool. Not very close but very much doable especially as the surroundings of the drive there are very nice. We'd love to stay in such a beautiful house in the nature from where we could make this day trips. The price of the house for what you get is very good. I highly recommend!

Fabulous facilities

Reviewed By V19HYmaryc

Stayed for 4 nights on this fabulous site. Facilities were the best I have ever seen, spotlessly clean and gallons of hot water. Location was superb close to the the lake and a short walk into town. Free bus into Fusson, a beautiful town with lovely architecture. WiFi was non existent, reception staff helpful and friendly, a little overpriced. Children’s facilities were excellent, so why oh why did the family next to us insist on kicking a ball at tea time whilst we were trying to enjoy our meal when a huge grassy area was 10 feet away!! Would highly recommend and return if ever in the area again.

Friendly, family run campsite

Reviewed By KerBer100

We stayed here for 6 days and really fell in love with this campsite. When we first arrived, although the staff were really friendly, we were a little disappointed. The pitch was small (although we were given the choice of 3), our electric cable was only just long enough and much to our dismay there was no pool. We had had a stressful journey due to our oldest son having a sickness bug and arrived, hot, tired and hungry. It was a Sunday so all local shops were shut and there was only one choice of meal served at the restaurant. We made do with some crisps and fizzy sold at the little cafe. At this point I was ready to leave. However we woke the next day and collected our delicious croissants from the cafe. We had a hot and very warm shower and felt better. We soon realised just how lovely the site was. It’s so close to so many amenities, the towns outdoor pool is only a ten minute cycle ride away, it was cheap and wonderful. We spent many happy hours cycling and trekking through the forest (including a cycle to see Germany’s tallest tree). The local town is very pretty and the city park is a lovely way to spend a few hours. The camp site is immaculate and the coffee and cake in the cafe is lovely! We also used the spa in the hotel next door (you get a discount) which was very traditional (it is a full nude spa though) and has a nice pool. The only thing missing was a pool for the kids.

Amazing place to stay

Fabulous caravan site. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed it so much we are planning a return visit. The staff are very friendly. We had a good plot. The toilets and showers are spotless and very modern. The small bar serves good beer and Riesling wine at a very good price and the small menu is good. You can walk through the gate to the River side and watch the River Cruise boats arrive daily. 10 min walk into town. Supermarkets are 10 mins away. Great place.

This is a family friendly camping. But one thing is missing, they don‘t have a hair dryer in the bathroom. We have already been to 3 and 4 stars camping and they have Föhn in the bathroom. It‘s only the bathroom Putzfrau that I found unfriendly.

Fantastic Family Break

Reviewed By Adam B

We stayed in one of the Komfort Mobilheims and it did not disappoint. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and was well equipped. Our two young boys loved the swimming pool on site and the arrangements for this were well organised and other guests were considerate of other people wanting to use the pool and kept to their allotted time. The playgrounds onsite were great and our boys aged 9 and 6 loved playing on these and even though the site was quite busy during our stay, the playgrounds were never overly busy. The staff at Wirthshof are very friendly and the steps that had been taken by the company to adapt to the health and safety requirements of the pandemic certainly helped to make our stay an enjoyable one. Fantastic base from which to explore Lake Konstanz and the surrounding area.
