The food is really nice. It's a nice traditional building in an agricultural area. There is a playground for the children. The landlady could be a little more friendly when taking your order. If she doesn't like to work ... she should quit. Otherwise the food is really nice and abundant. The remaing staff is friendly.

Not only was the lunch excellent and at 25 euro for three courses very well priced, i am a sucker for bookstores where i ended up buying Vicki Baumâs âGrand Hotelâ. Iâll certainly will be back.

Following the recommendation of a colleague we visited this boutique restaurant.we shared a very nice steak for two people which was one of the best steaks I ever had - tender and tasty.The wines and the dessert made the meal perfect .. I hope they stay the way they are . I will for sure come back!

Beautiful location in an old farmhouse offers steaks grilled at the open fire. I visited the restaurant the second time for business reason and was disappointed two times. Especially in West Vlanderen I am used to excellent, tender , very well tasting steaks. In this location I received the 2nd time a steak that was everything but tender at an average taste.Asking for a salat prior to the main dish the owner! decided that this is not possible although they serve salat with the main dish.Promising setup with disappointing outcome... anyhow the restaurant was very frequented by local people..

Hele leuk interieur doch indien je een ronde tafel wordt aangewezen, zit je letterlijk tegen de anderen die wat hoger zitten.Ook staan de tafels van 2 heel erg dicht bijeen wat niet zo leuk is, zeker als je een romantisch dineetje voor 2 voorziet.De steak was goed, zonder meer maar de pepersaus is geweldig en ook de sabayon is heerlijk, de pasta met scampi en appeltjes is eigenlijk iets die 'in' was 10 jaar geleden maar het was wel lekker.Wel een dure prijs voor 1 tong, ook al is die mooi groot.Vriendelijke bediening en nette, warme borden.

Tucked away from the centre this small restaurant is worth seeking out. The staff and food were very good. They spoke very good English and were able to explain the menu to us. The spaghetti bolognese was excellent and well worth the 12 euros. We chose to eat in the garden as it was a very warm evening and this has been laid out very well giving each table its own space. Would definitely recommend.

I have tried so many different restaurants all over Belgium throughout theyears of my travel there. But The Smack takes the cake. each and every item is always delectably presented and very delicious. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The ambience is superb. They have an indoor smoking room on a side.what more can you ask for ?

The food and drinks are very nice but you need to check your bill before paying and leaving. They charge 23 instead of 20 ⬠for red wine. They charge 1 ⬠more for the small tapas plate than is mentioned on the menu.I checked and received my 3 ⬠back from the wine.

Have been here a few times now and just want to keep comming back. Chef Stefanie was our first year cooking teacher in the Spermalie chefs school., so needless to say her food is fantastic. Classic cooking with a modern often subtle exotic twist. Vey fresh produce including products from her own garden are a plus. Menu is not extensive but that insures the freshness and perfect execution of each dish.... There is something for everyones taste and the menu changes very regularly. A good wine and affordable wine list and the friendly service from husband Michael make for an enjoyable experience.
