It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and the whole family gathered for a eel party ...Because if you like to eat eel in the East of Flanders .... This is THE place.Located aside a beautiful lake this house is famous for eel in green.There is also eel with tomatoes and eel with cream on the menu.As my stay in Belgium was a bit extended this time and I already had my portion of eel in green before I chose eel with cream ...It was not heavy at all and delicious !Also all other family members were happy with their eel in green ...The house is warm and family friendly and I suppose in the week it is a nice place for a relaxing business chat.The portions are more then fair and the french fries 'fritjes' are given as much as you feel for.The desserts are like grandma 'artisanal' traditionals ...my mousse au chocolat was delicious !

Achteraan deze alledaagse rijwoning bevind zich een ruim terras met spectaculair zicht op de Scheldevallei Zeer verrassend qua setting ..... WOW. Mooi aanbod op de kaart qua spijs en drank, eveneens geserveerd van "goed" tot "zeer goed". Oestertjes als hapje waren zeer welkom. Aanbod van non-alcoholische dranken werd geapprecieerd. Attente en druk zijnde uitbaters, bedienend personeel heeft steuntje in de rug nodig. Ik kom zeker terug !!!Een aanrader, een ontdekking.

We celebrated a family event here, and had a fixed meal option, which was adapted to the dietary needs of two of the participants. The restaurant is run by a couple, and we were geven an excellent service. Beautifully presented dishes, excellent food. Modern interior, lovely garden for the Summer. The only minus is the location away from the city centre.

Amazing and savoury lunch for a group of 16 people which is always more difficult. Tasty carpaccio without the usual synthetic truffle oil. Delicious and juicy pintade. Magnific dessert. Very gentle staff.

Top restaurant! Starting with the entrance, to the aperitive....to the farewell. Top experience. Salat with thecrusty baked lobster, mango..combination of light, fresh, spicy and sweet. Seabass was excellent,....carte blanche for the sommelier...Good wine and an honest wine. Nice setting however a bit expensivr and not for e very month. Nevertheless, try it!

Husband and wife team. Outstanding, professional and very friendly service. Nice spacey place with a superb outdoors space where you can have a drink and have coffee. All dishes were very well executed and tasted great. Had a very nice conversation with the chef at the end of the lunch. These guys deserve all of our support. Highly recommended.

Nice little cosy decorated restaurant. Friendly staff. Some of the dishes were a little bit too salty for my taste (carpaccio and codfish) but enjoyed them anyway. Overall I was positively surprised by this new discovery.
