Price too high for a Hostel
Reviewed By B DHost is very friendly and supportive. House is conviniently located to the fortress. Enough parking space around the house. We were prepared for the small separate bathroom, so this was fine. Room however was very uncomfortable. Mattress located directly on the floor was extremely hard. No air conditioner, while outside was almost 40 degrees and room was directly under the roof. Spending the night in this sauna-room was a challenge. Famous breakfast was just OK, nothing exceptional, especially for Bulgarian tourists used to eat Banitsa. Lack of second option and not considering any food preferences. Beautiful terrace to chill. Jacuzzi not working, but advertised. Overall, a nice family run Hostel, way more expensive for what it offers.

A good hotel, but the city around it needs work.
Reviewed By Piet dPlan was to sleep in or near Vidin, but I was not impressed by the general appearance of the city. At a fuel-station, another motorcycle-rider told me he had not found a suitable place to stay and would continue to the next city. I persisted.. I used the internet to re-check and finally choose Neptune. Reservation by telephone was smooth, reception spoke english. Finding the hotel was easy: it is very nicely located on the main Boulevard. Check-in was smooth, cards-accepted, and the room was nice, very spacious, and cool. The general impression of the hotel is Old but Good. Clean, Spacious and Comfortable. Wifi was OK. I had to work a little and didnt take the time to check the spa/pool area, but a short walk along the Danube made me think this city has a lot of (tourism)potential, and hotel Neptun is Ideally located on the Quay of the Danube. Dinner at the hotel was ok, the garden can be a nice place to sit and relax. Sleep was Good, and breakfast, in the garden, was good as well. All in all a good place to stay in Vidin, and good value for money too. This hotel could become a regular stop on my trips to Bg, and I hope the city improves a little over time as well.

Also, don't miss the diner at their restaurant: no tourists there, but a very pleasant athmosphere, and good food. Very nice, perfectly made, breakfast.

Here you are 7 min away from the main street and 1 min away from Danube river. I liked the place and the team. But I also know it is not for everyone :)

A good place to stay the night
Reviewed By Klara ČIt was a great place to stay the night. But I missed the wi fi. Though it was really cosy and warm. The staff is nice and he accomodated me and my friend even though we didn't have any reservation. It also had a parking near the house.

Nicely spent one week at hotel Eos
Reviewed By b0zhenavI stayed at the hotel with my husband and really enjoyed it. Good value for money :comfy bed, clean room, tv, fridge, breakfast included. Staff were nice and polite. I had a coffee in the restaurant /bar area every morning and it was superb: tasty coffee and nice environment. Most of the staff are speaking English which is a plus as well.

I would not go back to this hotel anymore
Reviewed By sstoeviIt is close to Belogradchik. They offer a homemade breakfast. The bathroom was very small / there is no room to turn around. There was no sound in the TV, which was a problem for my daughter, and the Internet could not be used / constantly interrupted /, which made it impossible to use the tablet in the absence of a TV set.
