We booked a week here for a chilled holiday and we are backpacking (just to empasise that we weren’t being snobby or looking for 5 star accommodation - and have also spent the last 10 weeks in Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and Vietnam). It was over £200 for the week. We got there at night and we were shown to our room. It was a mattress on the floor, cockroaches everywhere, completely dirty and other people’s things were still there as well as in the bathroom. We went and told them and they gave us a second room full of massive cockroaches. We were shown a third and it was the best we could get there. It was still dirty but and nothing like the photos but we could just about deal as it was midnight. We slept there and in the morning attempted the ‘pool’ or pond should I say. It wasn’t cleaned at all and it was not a pool. Not usable, no sun beds. Ants everywhere. There was no one else staying here and we didn’t feel safe as it had a horrible creepy vibe. Some people lived there I think. Our door said make sure you lock your door; it has no locks. My friend walked to the shop and a woman who had lived there 5 years said do not ever walk up here under any circumstances it is so unsafe. This was the only road out of the property. Luckily we rang booking.com and explained and we got a full refund and we stayed in Mercure up the road which was much much much better and for near enough the same price. Thank god. DO NOT STAY HERE.

How this place can still be operating is beyond me please folks with you want to stay somewhere budget go and look at the hostel instead of this place

Reviewed By nsalama13Our taxi or the Large Hotels in the area could help us find the place. Could not seem to google a phone number. So after 45mins we found the place, 3 kids in toe and they could not find our booking made through expedia. She sadi we only have 2 bookings and your name is not here. After my husband showing them our booking paper work, he asked to look in their diary he said well thats us! Then asked to use toilet with kids as 45mins in car was not fun, was send to a dirty room and no toilet paper, lucky i had tissues in my bag. Then my husband was shown the room and said no we not staying here. HE felt the beds were not made and we were not informed 3 kids beds were not be a double bunk on bottom and single on top. no towels, no toilet paper etc.. and he was told other areas under construction. We need airport transfer at 5am, sure we can arrange a taxi at your cost. No we said it states here airport transfer. I was very disappointed overall and was very happy to pay $80 a walk in price at the Gateway- all kids had own bed, tv with many channels, great eating till late, coffee- tea facilities, bathroom stoked well with towels, and a swimming pool.. Wake up call and free transfer to airport with a ported to take our bags.. This was our 4th trip to Fiji and we have been around the island and have stayed at many places from 2star to 5 star. Island Accommodation need to drop prices or pick up their game.. and change there information- like address and contact details.

Reviewed By AllthenamesaregonStayed here just the one night as we arrived on a late flight. They were fantastic. Their airport shuttle was down for repairs so they paid for the taxi. The room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was simple but delicious. The staff were all welcoming and as friendly as you would expect. Although right next to the airport it is a nice quiet location. Would recommend for a short stay.

Pool, Bar (oder was das dann auch immer sein wird, wenn es mal fertig ist). Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und sind nach einer Nacht in ein Backpacker geflüchtet. Nicht einmal die Einheimischen kennen das Hotel bzw. dessen Adresse.

A Hotel Scam.
Reviewed By DanHoopsterWe booked this hotel for one night at the end of our vacation due to the close proximity to the airport, as we had an early flight out the following day. The hotel already looked disgusting from the outside - broken windows, rusty doors and dripping pipes. We entered a basic “reception” where a group of unenthusiastic staff awaited us with lack of smiles. We checked in for our booking and paid full price before we were given the key to our rooms. You can imagine the shock on our faces when we were greeted with a room that smelt like years of mould/damp, dirty walls, a bed with filthy yellow bed sheets, a toilet with blood inside, the shower full of cockcroches and brown water. The mini fridge was full of bacteria and the electronics such as television, air conditioning and WiFi did not work as promised. We decided immediately that the best decision was to leave and find somewhere else to stay the night. Upsetting to say, that we were denied our refund by the staff and they laughed at our faces as we were asking them for our refund. We asked to speak to the manager and he came outside and then ran away into his office, unwilling to help us. When we finally got him to come outside, he said there was nothing he could do and that it was too late as we have already paid money. He was a very greedy and selfish man. We had to leave with it our refund and book alternative accommodation. DO NOT fall for this scam and please avoid booking this accommodation at all costs unless you want to have your money stolen from you.

Great hotel experience for first time to Fiji
Reviewed By 375agatelLoved and enjoyed my three days stay at this hotel. The staff are so wonderful and will easily assist you with anything at anytime. Thanks to Small, who was so helpful when I walked-in to book my stay, the receptionist I think her name is Flora and the others, sorry for forgetting their names, I thank them all gracefully. The food was not the best however you have the option to go to neighbouring restaurants as well as enjoy their live bands, drinks whatever you desire at the time. Definitely recommend this place for single, lovers and families with kids.
