Reviewed By TimmyTopesMy very first time at beachouse was back in 2013. I was a uni student in Suva on an exchange program from the US. One weekend I took a bus in from Suva (only 10$ from either Suva or Nadi) with a new friend who knew about this hidden gem. The rest is history. I’ve been back on 6 visits since then. Upgrades have been made over the years.. there’s a new bar, few more boats, even a/c being put in the remaining rooms just as I left. Nestled on a private little beach on the coral coast this place has it all. Not only the sunsets, crystal clear water, daily activities (fishing, surfing, waterfalls, and Yanuca island trip for example) but the employees are the most amazing people I’ve ever met. If your a surfer this is your best spot away from cloudbreak you’ll find in Fiji. Guided by local surfers you can go find style wave you want along the coral coast reefs. Pipes, Frigates, Jays, Coconuts, Serua Rights.. all only a 20 min boat ride away. I always found myself much more confident in bigger surf with guides Lesi, Semi or Paul out in the water with me. They grew up on the reefs here and know every little coral head and trick to getting the most waves out of your session. All in all beachouse is the spot. I choose to commute over 30 hours to get here any chance I get, and can’t wait to get back when the winter blues hit. Vinaka Beachouse for all the memories ? -Tim

Reviewed By M3021BHrachaelh1st sight was cat with a mouse. Next was dead cockroach in our room upon checkin. Just kind of an EW feeling about the place. Food was bad - especially breakfast. Location was bad - in the middle of nowhere nice. Only plus was that the ownership seemed to want to do a good job.

She doesn't even know what she's doing ..Really.. The reception was not even busy..Girl,we all work in a tourism industry and that's not how we treat our customer whether they are locals..You need to go for your quality customer services, otherwise you'll piss all the bamboo customers coming in for a holiday. She didn’t care about what I said. The lady needs to have a training in customer service. TRY AND BE LIKE THOSE FIJIAN STAFFS WORKING AT BAMBOO, THE OLD STAFFS WITH THEIR BULA SMILES AND ALL ...AND WE ARE COMFORTABLE AROUND THEM..FROM BAR TEAM p TO THE KITCHEN, THEY ARE AWESOME AND HARD WORKING PEOPLE...UNLIKE YOU, I BELIEVE YOUR NAME IS RENU...FIRST YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO SMILE AND IF YOU HAVE TO IT'S FAKE!! Reviewed By James S15-minute walk to/from airport, easy to find even in dark (see photo). Strong pre-arrival communication. Friendly family, especially Mamta, and nice family dogs. Sarita, the housekeeper, is a jewel. Basic breakfast. I lodged 7 nights, 2 different rooms. Excellent and reliable WiFi all week. Best for 1-2 night stay for airport transfer. Unfortunately, the shared kitchen is ill-equipped — no plates, pots, pans, knives or microwave; stove burners do not work — what was a 1-bedroom flat has been poorly converted to 2 sleep spaces for up to 4 peeps, but just one combo toilet/shower/sink for all 4. Recommendations: Since there is no AC, windows need to remain open to circulate air and cool space, so PLEASE do not burn garbage when the wind is blowing towards the Homestay, or the ROOM FILLS WITH SMOKE. Gramps really needs to go out of earshot — ’downwind’ — to clear his emphysematic throat. Also the clear glass bathroom window needs to be replaced with ‘private’ frosted glass.

Room was filthy pillow had looked like blood stains. our 2nd day the bathroom sink exploded as per the manager well its not a ** 5 * star hotel so just accept it. food was brought in from near by restaurant half cooked . this is was the most horendous experience I have ever experienced .. will never stay or recommend to any one EVER!!.

4 Dorm rooms sleeps 4 people each with shared facilities. 1 family room sleeps 4 with a private toilet and hot shower. Campsites are available with Toilet and Shower facilities. Activities include snorkelling, diving, fishing trips, waterfall and cave sightseeing. These are organised through another resort so need to be booked the day before.
Great Place for Budget Family Accommodation off the Beaten Path
Reviewed By Nakita Lewasau BIf you want to get away from the usual touristy Fiji destinations and find some peace and quiet while being in the midst of rural Fiji the Beehive is the place for you. Great view, wholesome meals, far away from the hustle and bustle. Great place to unplugand unwind surrounded by countryside. My kids couldn't stay out of the saltwater pool. Highly reccomend for travelers that want a homestay experience. The goats in the area are also really fun to watch.

FRIENDLY, QUIET, GOOD VALUE
Reviewed By daf57I have stayed at Horizon Beach Resort, Smuggler`s Cove three times. It is a budget hotel and the cost is for the room (as opposed to "each"). Breakfast is included.The beach is about 50m away. A variety of aquatics activities are available. The quaint local bus stops out the front and connects Smuggler`s Cove, Nadi, Denaru and other local stops..........simply ask the usually obliging driver. Rooms are clean, reasonably spacious for two people, quiet and well priced at approximately $F50 per night. Horizon also has a restaurant and bar. Their meals are generous and well priced.........mostly under $F15 and drinks are also very affordable.
