House located on the central street of Haifa with many boutiques, pubs, cafes, and restaurants. 2-bedrooms are equipped with double beds with orthopedic mattresses, flat LCD television with cable TV, DVD, Wi-Fi and air conditioningEach apartment has a bathroom with bath / shower and toilet, mini kitchen, table and chairs, refrigerator, mini bar, microwave, kettle and crockery. There is a room with a balcony, which comes equipped with table and chairs. The balcony has a stunning view of the Baha’i Gardens. You can also take 2 rooms on the same floor and combine them to make one suite with 2 bedrooms to accommodate 3-4 people.The house is located in historical district (German colony) on main street of Haifa, in close proximity to the central rail station and international port, the Baha'i gardens, the sea , from the tomb of the prophet Elijah, the “City center” shopping mall, and the Arab bazaar. In addition, the bus (bus stop is near house) allows you to reach the equipped beaches, the zoo, the Rambam and Elisha Hospital, the cable car, Technion, and the Carmelite Monastery, among other places, in 5-10 min.

Reviewed By AntonyB713We stayed for 10 nights in a ground floor room that had its own door to the street. This room had a shared kitchen with and adjacent room. It was ideal for our trip. The Shrine of the Bab and terraces only one block away. It was comfortable and clean and the owner is helpful. We were able to use airport WIFI to notify of arrival to arrange check in. Bus 136 runs up to the Baha'i Pilgrim house, the bus stop very close and is 5.90 shekel each. A dry cleaner is within a short walk and will do laundry. Grocery Shops are also only a short walk away as are many restraunts.

I chose the port inn because of the location, i am in the travel business i deal with hotels and hostels as a living. 1) location. literally five minutes away from Haifa Central Shmona Train Station and the passenger terminal from the port. It sits just off the main road, to pick up a bus. Its ten minutes away, walking from the bottom of the Bahai Gardens and German Colony. Its a real hostel. As hostels here in the country improve ambience, organization, and style. Becoming more like motels rather than quirky enjoyable hostels. This one is still a real hostel with the eclectic collection of decor with a mainline stream of haifa's unique character as a city. A breakfast in the morning. A small but good functioning kitchen. A tv longe room. A garden patio. A next door, parking lot (not free) and a next door laundromat. The toilets and showers are small but clean and perfect to either start or end your day with a hot shower. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean. But now lets talk about the magic. And that is owed to the staff. I arrived a little late for checkin. Its a small staff therefore, the hostels front desk closes at 22:45 (10:45pm). And i missed that time. But i ran into one the managers (i think), Zeev, who saved the day by getting me in. He said that for the comfort of his other guests is why he closes at 22:45. And i respect that. But he still got me in, so i could work the next morning. I returned back that evening in which i met another staff person, Marina. She helped me change my rooms form the emergency of the previous night. She helped me in the friendliest and professional manner. After i asked if the temperature in the room could be cooler. And she did. But then she kindly relocated me to a room that was empty and had better natural ventilation with the room's balcony and windows. And it was best that anyone staying in a hostel could ask for. The staff went of their way to store my luggage, get me in late at night, and relocated me to a dorm room that practically was a private room. The next day i asked Marina's advice about a place for dinner nearby (there is so much to choose from) and thanks to her had a great dinner with my favorite israeli beer at Mayaan HaBira. I will come back more often. You cant beat the prices, the location, cleanliness, and most of all the service from the staff who went beyond what was required from them. I strongly recommend the Port Inn when visiting Haifa.

Reviewed By ajlipOur hotel room was really a small old apartment in a building next to a flower shop . Very basic but convenient for our needs of being close by our daughter . Cafes and supermarket within 10 min walk and staff were nice . Little balcony for breakfast that we bought which was pleasant.

Reviewed By Avrif1Booked 2 rooms one for handicapped person, the room was at the far end of the hotel, I'm still trying to understand the logic, that rooms bathroom was dirty, we found out that "BREAKFAST" will be served in a ridiculous "business lounge" in a box!!!!!, I need also to excuse myself to the receptionist for disturbing her peace of mind trying to check in The coffee machines in both rooms did not work and it was needed some arguments to get the fixed My idea of a business hotel is completely different

Reviewed By 67henrygChose this restaurant actually from previous good reports and were not disappointed. The place is pleasant clean with excellent service. Our steak was as they say, worth the drive from Tiberias. Grilled to perfection nice side dish and the salads before with a lovely warmed bagel to tasty for words. A restaurant that I would recommend to everyone.

Gut ausgestattete, perfekt saubere Zimmer mit kleiner Teeküche und Kühlschrank, dazu eine voll ausgestattete Küche auf der Etage. Großer eigener Parkplatz mit privatem Zugang (man bekommt einen eigenen Code für das automatische Tor), das WLAN ist schnell und sehr stabil. Der Service ist hervorragend, der Manager war sehr freundlich und hat mir sehr geholfen. Ich bin mir sicher, daß ich auf meiner nächsten Reise nach Haifa hier wieder buchen werde.

Reviewed By Akwador GWe went as a couple in a group of 3 couples to visit Israel for the first time from Malta. Tamer Guest House was recommended by a local friend and we did not regret it! Our hosts, George and his wife, daughter and son were outstanding in making us feel at home and welcome. We were treated to fantastic breakfasts in the new breakfast room with on tap coffee, local bites to eat plus sweet pastries. George assisted with providing cars for us to explore Haifa as a group, and was always on hand to welcome us back home, and it felt like home too. There are several 'units' that consist of a lounge, bedroom, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom with fantastic water pressure in the shower. The accommodation was clean, cosy and ample for our needs. When we departed, George provided transport to the train station and his wife left little souvenir gifts for us. Overall, we rate this Guest House tops and next time we visit, we will be straight back here. Thank you for making our trip memorable! Larisa & Neil xx

Lovely place to stay
Reviewed By GawishAThis was a really clean and beautiful place, and the staff were friendly. We stayed 3 nights and were surprised our room wasn't cleaned once! The team cups weren't replaced and I wouldn't have minded cleaning them but there was nothing left to clean them with. Also the shower leaked all over the floor and there was no bath mat either so we had some wet towels which weren't replaced. HOWEVER, saying that, the location was brilliant - really close to a street full of restaurants and really close to the Baha'i Gardens. I would definitely recommend but cleaning would be preferred...

Nimrod and Rabab (notice the link) are absolutely the most fantastic hosts. To say nothing is a problem is an understatement. Nimrod and Rahab make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. They will ensure your stay is most comfortable and that all your needs are tended to. If you want a taste of true hospitality in a great location - near to everything, this is the place. As for the room, it was very clean, with all that is needed provided. The loving social place is even better, made even the better by the fact it is only 4 rooms sharing it! We even had a cheeky shisha with our hosts and had the most wonderful conversation, sharing our relative stories. Not just a stay but an experience itself. Will be back again! Thank you Nimrod and Rabab! Daniel and Maria.
