Sushi here is of an amazing quality and at a fraction of a price compared to Tokyo. Service was really friendly and accommodating, and I was in my happy place. Probably the best sushi in Kanazawa, and definitely comparable to the sushi shokunin in Tokyo. Certainly can't beat the seafood in Ishikawa!

We visited after seeing this restaurant on a guide and following the high rating here. Our experience does not reflect the high rating at all - cheap cuts of fish being served in the sashimi platter (which made us question whether this was for foreigners as I don’t believe a local would pay Y2,600 for it), the fried dishes were oily unlike much of Japanese tempura. Perhaps we made poor food choices out of the menu, but there are MUCH better options abound at the same and lower price ranges. Would certainly not go again.

We had some delicious sushi here, and the staff was very friendly and even spoke some English. It’s easy to order because the have English screen to pick from. Fatty tuna was yummy so was the crab nigiri.

The small restaurant is located a little off the beaten track in a quiet residential area. It is beautifully furnished and you are warmly welcomed. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The served sushi and other dishes are deviating from the standard and are interpreted somewhat more freely. And that's good, because everything was very tasty. The choice of drinks is also very good. The price is absolutely reasonable. A great location in Kanazawa. Gladly again. From me to the team: 有難う

I walked from my hotel and got there just around 5:30PM. No line-ups, no waits. Picked the squid ink noodle. Excellent soup, although not as dense or as black as I would hope. Great flavour though - nothing to criticise on that front. Noodles are nice and thin, can be cooked hard, super crunchy bamboo and excellent "coca cola"/christmas ham type of charsiu. No gyoza available, but a lovely sweet veggie juice, complimentary, which the inexperienced young server almost refused me a second shot, even after I said I'd pay for it. Excellent music playing on the loudspeakers. By all means it is a worthwhile joint to have and have a superb ramen. Lovely.

Curry and Indian Tapas. Authentic Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine.
We like trying Indian food when we travel and since this restaurant was recommended by our travel agent, we decided to give it a whirl. Spice Box is a small, unassuming restaurant with a few stand-alone tables and a bar-seating option facing the kitchen where you can watch the cooks do their thing. The owner was interesting to talk to and told us a bit about his move to Japan from Sri Lanka, which made the dining experience extra special. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the experience and recommend this restaurant for Indian food in Kanazawa.

One of our favourite meals during our two weeks in Japan. Would recommend booking a table as we had to wait around 1 1/4 hours for one. Luckily there is a great little craft beer bar round to corner. Had some vegetarian options and staff spoke some English and were able to advise about ingredients such as fish in sauces. Would recommend the corn tempura and the beef fillet mignon steak as the stand out dishes ordered by our group.

A terrific and spectacular meal. Was great to have a mixture of Japanese types of food. Innovative. Tasty and sharing plates which made the evening ever so much fun. The special touches were welcome. Cool, trendy ambience and dedicated hardworking staff. The atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly that our neighbouring table became friends. A true find.

This intimate sushi bar has about 8-10 seats available, all at the counter. All sushi is prepared right in front of you, and served directly on the counter. You can choose between two set menus or a la carte, based upon availability. Staff is very friendly.
