I’m there 15 min before it closes on a Sunday. She’s helping kids pick out books and finding them a checklist to track their collection Selection is great, some nice vintage finds. Well organized. Would return.

A fun shopping/browsing extravaganza! Go just to see all the neat vintage items. If you are looking for architectural vintage, this is your place to start. I just bought two large pieces of Drexel midcentury modern furniture and staff (Marion!) could not have been more accommodating. Could not have done it without him and owner Jim. Kudos to owner Jim for having such friendly, responsive personnel! P.S., the question below ask about taking children. Yes, do take your children but ONLY if you watch them. Mostly, we all know parents often don't do that. Kids might be happier at home so adults can focus on all the treasures Joe's has to offer.

The man working there the day we went was not particularly welcoming or friendly, but he was professional, courteously answered questions and kindly allowed us to roam the building. And OMG, what a building!! Yes, it is absolutely stuffed to the rafters with a huge variety of antiques, many of which are exquisite. And priced accordingly. But that is not why I was there, to be honest. I was there to see the “last unrestored mansion in Savannah,” and I was ENTHRALLED. This structure is terrifying and amazing. If you visit, be respectful and...just take it all in.
