The Ninja Cafe and Bar should be on everyone’s list of places to go in Japan. My son, Max, said that he had the best time ever. The owners are kind and great fun. They made my son feel like real ninja teaching him terms and moves. Because of this experience, my son ate all the food no matter how unfamiliar. As we were leaving, he asked when we could come back to Japan. Japan is an amazing country. Ninja Cafe captures all of the wonders and fun of Japan. It was the height of my don’s experience in Japan and a place we will return to for years to come. I highly recommend Ninja Cafe and Bar to families, kids, and those who seek wonder and a friendly environment. Thanks Shazia, Max and papa for coming to our Cafe! You are our first customer after grand open! And thank you for your cooperation and hope you guys come back again...!

Steak House Pound Akihabara

I just finished my meal here and I have to say the steaks (and service) are amazing! Our waiter explained the pricing and options right at the beginning and showed us our cuts before they were prepared. The Kobe beef was out of my price range this time around (~32g for $479), but the wagyu did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I shared the sirloin and tenderloin with the gratin and garlic rice sides. The meat was so flavorful we didn’t even need the sauces that were available. Overall, we would definitely recommend :)

The restaurant serves traditional kaiseki food. Although our menu was supposed to contain meat, we managed to get a fish-only option, which was absolutely amazing! I was also told they can prepare a fully vegetarian course if booked in advance.Beautiful location and very fine dining for a great experience.

This place always has a line and you’ll need to be prepared to wait but it’s worth it! Whilst the beef is served rare, you cook it over a stone grill to the level you desire. Even the small serve is reasonably big and you can moderate the amount of sauce etc that you want. If you’re in the area, definitely try this place but just expect to line up.

Stopped by after visiting the Pagoda of Senjosi around the corner. The lady who owns the restaurant is so friendly! She was telling us about her recent move back to Japan from New York. Great lunch proportions and drink menu. No waiting either!

Sometarō which is located in an unair-conditioned historic, vine-covered house and specializes in traditional Japanese dishes. There is only tatimi seating, and they only take cash. The menu is really quite varied, and offers a number of “sets” as well, though we were never able to quite figure out what the sets included. On the menu is Yakisoba, described as chow mein; Tepanyaki; and Okonomi-Yaki. In addition the menu had directions on how to cook Okonomi-Yaki, Shumai-ten, Anko-maki, Gomoku-Yaki and Osome-yaki. We ordered Okonomi-Yaki, the Gomokuten with steamed cuttlefish, steamed shrimp, egg, cabbage, minced meat (beef and pork, bits of fried batter left after cooking tempura (squid) ¥870; and, Gyuuten with minced meat (beef & pork), cabbage, egg, sliced beef ¥870. Our dishes were very good, and neither of us would have been able to eat more, but both of us would have liked to try some of the other dishes. The restaurant is relatively small, and there was a line at 11:45 AM (before the noon opening). Since each table cooks their own food, should one miss the first "seating," the wait for an available table could be an hour or so, but it is worth the wait.

We wanted an early dinner. Nothing too extensive. This was 300m from our hotel and had great reviews in TA. We turned up, queued for about 10 mins then sat at the bar with a beer each, a bowl of ramen each and chicken gyozas - the best we’ve tasted yet. All done in about an hour for under 30€. Can’t be beaten. Cash only. Fully recommend the great food and lovely chefs. Gracias por visitar nuestra tienda Gracias por su excelente evaluación y cumplidos. Esperamos verte de nuevo.

Everything about the experience was excellent -- the food, the staff (who are also the performers) and the Japanese shamisen music! This is a short walk from Asakusa, where the Sensoki or Asakusa Kannon Temple is located. The restaurant is off the beaten track and so worth it!
