Nice Onsen Hotel
Reviewed By ivanlieckensThis was our second hotel in Japan and the first Ryokan type with Japanese style rooms, futons to sleep on and Yukata to wear around. Our room was very spatious and had a washing table and private toilet. This was out of our stay the largest room we’d had the pleasure of occupying for 2 nights. The hotel has a shuttle service to pick you up from the nearby trainstation but be prepared to ask in Japanese. Transfer takes about 15mins by car or you could walk 1,5h. This area is bus or car and when using the bus be very careful as there are only about 6-8 busses a day depending on where you’re going. We had to fall back to using a taxi because of missing the bus once. Make sure to enjoy the hotel’s onsen with a magnificent view and “outdoor” bathing! The breakfast buffet is Japanese and extensive. Dinner is also available which we enjoyed twice as there is nothing else really in the area but don’t worry the hotel restaurant has excellent and very affordable dinner options.

Convinient if you travel by car
Reviewed By AmenohiI stopped here on my first night of two weeks Shikoku pilgrimage road trip. I needed a hotel in this particular location (in the vicinity of temples 8, 9 and 10), easily accessible by car and with good parking, which Business Hotel Awa both seemed to provide. Indeed, I found the hotel right away, and it was easy to park my car on their lot (they don’t charge separate fee for parking). The building itself is fairly new, with modern look and facilities. The room was a basic business hotel room, not at all tiny by Japanese standards, but a westerner would definitely call it small. Being used to Japanese room sizes, I felt comfortable enough in there. The room was equipped with a standard fare of appliances: electric tea pot (with tea set), TV, refrigerator. The refrigerator comes in handy when you don’t have dinner included with your stay and don’t want to go look for a restaurant. I usually find the nearest convenience store (which, in this case, was located right across the street - the 7 eleven) and stock up on onigiris. The breakfast, included in the price, was very minimal, but they had the most delicious freshly baked croissants there, I ate quite a few. Other then that there was salad, boiled eggs, other types of bread, some drinks - and that was mostly it. There was no common bath, which is a minus, but I wasn’t particularly upset about it because I used the public hot spring facility a few kilometers away before checking in. The hotel is also very reasonably priced, and Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. Overall, I was pleased with my stay there - just what I needed, no more, but no less.

Reviewed By IamSharonRNot too far off from the Tokushima JR Station, this Minshuku (guest house) is a "good value." I believe it was about $60 for the night for me and my husband. - Friendly host with no English - To make a reservation, you need someone who knows Japanese to give the guest house a call - No English sign outside. The guest house is a short apartment building. Go up the stairs, leave shoes, and the owner will come greet you. - After they took us to our room, they brought us tea and some snacks (bananas and cake). - Room was clean and comfortable. Modern tatami style. - Bathrooms are shared. I did not feel comfortable in the bathrooms. Had to take off the normal slippers and put on "toilet slippers" (also shared) which were kind of ripped out on the inside. Blech. As a result, I mostly went to the toilet in restaurants that looked very clean. This one is really hard, because I absolutely would never go back. It's just not my style so that part of me would give it max a 3/5. On the other hand, it was by far the cheapest accommodations, good location, friendly. If this is the type of lodging for you, then go for it.

Reviewed By LTB511阿波池田駅から徒歩3分。アーケードになっている駅前通りを直進した左手にあるこぢんまりとしたビジネスホテル。部屋はきれいに清掃されており清潔であるが、設備の貧弱さを感じる。無料WiFiはあるが、ウォシュレット、自動モーニングコールはない。コンセントの口も2つしかなく、冷蔵庫を使うと1つが塞がれるので実質1つしか使えない。水栓金具はタッチで水の出し/止めができる豪勢なものであるが、その費用でコンセントを増設した方がよかったのではないか。

Great Service
Reviewed By StradchowWe really love this Guest House as the decor is interesting, and the room is very comfortable. Although no onsen is available, the tub in the bathroom of each room is quite nice. Food is excellent and the hostess is very gracious and kind. The location is kind of funny though. Although it is between Temple 20 and 21, you don't necessarily have to pass this hotel in order to get to Temple 21. Actually we felt that it took us forever just to find this place when we could've just use another route to get to Temple 21. But I'm only commenting on the service, facility and food, so for a Japanese Guest House, I would definitely recommend this place.

二軒屋駅近く、徳島の秋田町という夜の飲食街には近いです。
Reviewed By ruosun徳島市内でも、二軒屋駅近くはここだけ。安い穴場なホテルです。近くのあんこやさん工場の会社が経営しています。ざっくばらんな感じで、夏ですが、昼間は自然の風が気持ち良いです。ホテル入り口は急な階段を荷物を持って上がらなければなりません。受付の横が喫茶店になっていて、そちらにホテルの人がいます。近くにキョーエイスーパーあり、たこ焼き屋さんや、こっこ、という焼き鳥の美味しいお店、少し歩きますが有名なラーメン店東大もあるので、便利です。

予想はしていたとはいえ。
Reviewed By ＷＥＬコインバス・トイレ共同なので予想はしていたとはいえ、かなり厳しいものがあった。当日は徳島市内で空き部屋不足していたらしく、若い女性も泊まっていたようだが耐えられたのだろうか。設備が古すぎる。歯磨き粉なんか固まってしまっていたよお。悲しくなってしまった。
