Faith Welland

Reviewed By robbygc - Toronto, Canada

I really enjoyed going to this church. The praise service was amazing. They showed the words on two panels, so that we could sing as well and they had a great drummer and another was playing an electronic organ and three others played electric guitars. The pastor shared the message with us. He is honest and shares what he thinks. At times he makes the congregation laugh. After all, the church was quite filled. They offer also worship for the early kids and elementary students. They have fun as they play, color, do activities and have a message from the Bible. Alter church, they have a place where we can drink a warm drink and speak with other people. Others stays in the main foyer and chat with others as well. During the week they have young adults meetings, where people of that age can meet with one another. There is even a high school meeting on Fridays. The high school students love that! I was quite impressed. Worthwhile to try!

Welland Bridge 13

Historical Bridge 13 was constructed in Bridge 13 between 1927 and 1930. It was a lift bridge that allowed ships to pass through. Following the closure of the canal at the end of the 1972 shipping season, Bridge 13 was locked permanently in the lowered position. On July 1st, 2015 Bridge 13 lit up in its new LED colour changing lights.

Went for a walk near this historical bridge around 9:45 PM. Beautifully lit up at night. There are nice walking paths on both sides of the bridge/canal. Very relaxing. Can get quite busy though during warm months. I moved here from Windsor,ON., a year and a half ago. From what I've heard, this bridge is loved by most people here.
