Cathedral at Munsterplatz / St. Vincent (Munster Kirche)

Located in the center of the Old Town, this 15th-century cathedral sports a towering 328-foot-tall spire that dominates the city skyline.

Reviewed By yns_10 - Sydney, Australia

The charming Gothic Berner Münster is the country's tallest cathedral. After the plague came to Bern in 1526, many citizens converted to Reformation and by 1528 masses were stopped and icons cast out and the church became a reformation church.

Cathedrale de Lausanne

Reviewed By Crvan - Weston, United States

After our tour of the Parc de Mon Repos, we hiked our way uphill to the cathedral; it is quite the workout the way we came as it was all uphill and we had to take a couple breathers before we made it to the top by the cathedral. The cathedral was dedicated in 1275 and is situated in the higher portions of Lausanne; from different vantage points around the cathedral, you have splendid views of Old Town Lausanne and of Lake Geneva. The architecture and the detailed carvings by the main entryway are outstanding and gorgeous. This is definitely one of the more beautiful churches inside and out in Switzerland. The interior is also well appointed and well worth a tour inside to see it and learn more of its history. This is one of the top three must see destinations in Lausanne.

Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre

This famous cathedral is best known for its historic significance as the church where John Calvin gave his inspiring sermons during the mid-16th century.

Reviewed By annettestretton - Skelmersdale, United Kingdom

We paid 5EUR each to get to the top of the tower. There aren’t too many steps and the views are 360 degrees of Geneva. Beautiful views and worth the climb. It was a hot day when we visited but the climb up was cool within the stone of the cathedral. Spiral steps and quite enclosed on the way up but not too strenuous.

Cathedrale St-Nicolas

According to legend, if its 74 m tower is unfinished it is because there was no money left. A jewel of Gothic architecture, the cathedral was built between 1283 and 1490. It is possible to climb the 365 steps to the top of the 74 m high tower and discover the entire town.

Reviewed By alessandrofL127YD - Milan, Italy

The 76 metres high tower was the hightest building in Switzerland until 19th century. The main doorway is adorned with bas-relief , done in the 14th century , rapresenting the Last Judgement. Wonderful inside with stained-glass windows that create a very special atmosphere.
