Good communication with this personable and friendly man who manages to be a few places at once! He runs the bike company and a youth hostel where the bike tour takes off from where the garden is beautiful and you get to enjoy his own olive oil if you are lucky, and taste the local salt from the flats. Andrej picked us up on time in Tartini Square and took us about a 10 min drive to his youth hostel where the bikes are. He gave us good instruction as we had never ridden an ebike before. We wore helmets. We happened to be the only two with him on this tour. He had run a few other tours already that day, so we lucked out with a private tour. Bring a backpack or something if needed. No baskets on the bikes. Small seats! He has top notch ebikes that really have the right engines and turbo. We climbed some high hills, and though we had to peddle some, I was never out of breath with my asthma as the motor really takes over. We could never have biked this route with a regular bike, but we are not in top shape and in our 50s. There were plenty of younger, regular bikers out there enjoying the stupendous views and back roads. Andrej led us on back roads, through tunnels, salt flats, towns and countryside. Gorgeous vantage viewpoints! We chose to see Portoroz, Izola and the Strunjen Park on our tour. Loved riding so close to vineyards, olive trees, and fruit trees. We were on main roads a very short time and the drivers were very courteous to go around us. The bikes are easy to ride. A little tricky if you happen to hit the peddle making a turn as the turbo kicks in. We stopped for a beer in town overlooking the Izola marina. Such a fabulous bike trip with great info on the areas from Andrej. Our tour ran over since none of us had plans right away. Lots of stops along the way for photos and to get off a bike a few minutes. Highly recommend this bike tour! Easy and fun. Great way to see the area and the views from sea level to high vantage points. Thanks!

Historical Centre Food Tour: Come hungry there is a lot of food! We chose the historical center of Piran because it has the most to offer in terms of culture, history and of course wonderful food. This is where most of historic houses and other sights are found, many of them well over 1300 years old, and the food is just delicious if you know where to go. And, because it's very central, we can show you more than one area, including the famous, Tartini square, ancient town's wall, St. George Cathedral and the famous Venetian House. On this 5-hour guided walking food tour we eat our way through the neighborhood enjoying 4 delicious food tastings. Visit the local, colorful outdoor food market, admire old buildings, architecture and meet the wonderful families working hard to preserve local food traditions. This tour features some unique cultural and historical sites that few tourists get an opportunity to see. Join us for a day like no other.

Our group (7) thoroughly enjoyed our private well organized first time tour of Slovenia. Too many nice things to say about our guide. She provided a wealth of knowledge about the country, the wines, history and culture. Visiting with some of her personal friends running family vineyards was truly very special. All the advanced planning allowed us to stay at some particularly picturesque and hospitable small lodges and family run places. Float trip inside the caves, hikes in the mountains, nature walks, power assisted biking up and down a mountain, all helped to compliment our frequent stops at special wineries and restaurants. The country was the cleanest we saw and the people the friendliest in our 7 country European vacation. We highly recommend our guide and her coordinated planning of our tour. We will always have wonderful memories of this visit and the friends we made.

I spent the day travelling around with my guide Michelle, and she made the whole experience something I will never forget. She took me to see many different sites from Lake Bohinj to Waterfall Savica to Lake Bled. However the main stops on the way were not all there was to see, it was as much about the journey as it was the destinations. Slovenia has some incredible sites to behold and the scenary all throughout the day left me blown away. Driving through the deepest vallies and up the tallest mountains, it was a real adventure the whole way. Due to the time of year and current events, we basically had every spot to ourselves without the hussle and bussle of noisy tourist spots and the benefit of this was how peaceful everything was. Michelle is an incredibly friendly and kind person, full of knowledge and experience of Slovenia that she shares with you in an enthusastic and engaging way, she is perfect company for the trip. This is an amazing day out which I highly reccomend to anyone visiting Slovenia. I will absolutely be coming back to stay at Lake Bohinj next year for a relaxing camping holiday. Thank you Michelle for touring me around Slovenia during my stay here. It has been one of the best ( or even, the best ) experience I have had travelling over the past few years.
