Our tour group stopped here on a lovely day in crush season. Winemaker Boris took time from his busy crush day to take us on a tour of this beautiful, time-honored winery. A lovely and knowledgeable granddaughter, 8th generation in this family of winemakers!, presented our lovely lunch and kept us informed of each wine we enjoyed. I highly recommend a stop here, and the delicious lunch is a wonderful bonus, if you can arrange it. I purchased 3 of the Cabernet Sauvignon wines, one to take home to Washington to one of my favorite winemakers. Cheers!

Family winery, with long tradition of wine making. Known mosty for fresh, white wines such as Sylvaner, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Muscat, Pinot gris, etc. For the last 7 years, we can welcome you on our property, where you can taste our wines and enjoy 5 or 6 course menus (if prearranged) in a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Gaube estate is known by wine production for several years and 3 family generations. The estate is located in a wonderful špičnik area, very near famous heart shaped road in the vineyards. The house is surrounded by nice yard where you can enjoy the view to vineyards and wonderful nature. In tja last years the family developed the culinary services offered to the guests with excelent wines. In 2020 they were selected in 10 best tourist farm estetes in slovenia and after this visit we saw that it was more than deserved. You choose 3 or 4 course menu with choice of the main dish with fish or meat. All dishes were served in beautiful handmade pilates and tasted real good. We were able to choose several desserts and we tried everything. You could not decide which one was the best because all of the desserts were simpy great. Highly recommended for a superior culinary experience in beautiful place where family "touch" can be felt every minute of your visit.

We really enjoyed our wine tasting today. Irina, the owner of the vineyard, did an amazing job explaining the different wines they produce and sell. The homemade snacks were just delicious and together with the stories she told made an unforgettable experience. She even prepared some homemade juice for our kids. Outstanding hospitality! Highly recomended!!!

Surrounded by wineyards, in the peacefulness of true nature take time for a glass of excellent wine. Great view and magnificent taste will leave you breathless. We will surprise you with homemade »prleska tunka«. Take a walk between wineyards to green pasture, where you can say hello to our Scottish cattle. If you wan't to take a piece of our story with you, we offer you bottled wines.

Vrhnika is a small town with little bars and cafes, hence we all very much appreciate Human Fish brewery! Their terrace is cozy and so is inside. The staff is really friendly and beers are delicious. If unsure which beer to drink, definitely ask for the advice of the staff, as they know a lot about beers. I tried Combat Wombat, Sipa and one more beer (cannot remember the name) and they were all great.

Aside from a great winetasting (ditto everything other reviewers have said), we also stayed in their newly designed rooms for 2 nights. Anja Zorz welcomed us to their family run winery and with great pride, explained more about Slap and the Vipava Valley. In addition to sampling Zorz wines, she gave us great recommendations for other wineries to visit (and called to organize), as well as fabulous dinner recommendations. Her husband/winemaker Jerne and brother-in-law Andre added to our very personalized and enthusiastic interactions throughout our stay. The rooms were surprisingly modern and we were very happy to have bar soap, body lotion and shampoo (not always provided in Slovenia/Croatia). Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. My favorite place so far in our trip, I loved the interaction with and the passion of the locals!!

Craft&Draft Gallus Beer Bar is a place with more than 200 types of craft beers in the bottle and 6 top quality rotational draft beers. Small selection of whiskey and local drinks. Very delicious home made brusketas and sandwiches. Friendly place with good music! :)
