Skåne County (Swedish: Skåne län), sometimes referred to as Scania County in English, is the southernmost county or län, of Sweden, basically corresponding to the traditional province Skåne. It borders the counties of Halland, Kronoberg and Blekinge. The seat of residence for the Skåne Governor is the city of Malmö. The headquarters of Skåne Regional Council is the town of Kristianstad.

Larkesholm Hiking Trail

The Larkesholm hiking area consist of an hikinh trail around the larger of the two lakes in Larkesholm. It may sound simple but it is very beautiful. The lake follows you around the trail and offer a stunning view. No wonder this place is so popular!

A beautiful 5 km hike around the Lake through forest and fields. Our dog enjoyed it just as much as we did. Highly recommended.

Skaneleden, Hovdala circular footpath

Skaneleden, cirkular foothpath, 16 km, offering varied scenery and exciting history. The walk takes you past Hovdala Castle and several historical monuments. In Finjasjön you can take a refreshing dip and from Hovdala tree house you get breathtaking views.

Malarhusens strand

Malarhusen's vast beach and dunes which ties Borrby beach and Sandhammaren together. The fine white sand creaks underneath your feet, the bath is shallow and flowing water occurs. Nature Reserves Sandby Backar and Malarhusen lies north and south of the beach.

Gyllebosjön is one of southeastern Skåne's few lakes and lies in scenic surroundings with leafy forests and a vast natural pasture in the south. Family friendly swimming area with both shallow and deep water, dock available. Fishing licenses can be purchased on the way to the lake. On the pleasant circular trail around the lake, you can enjoy the beautiful beech forest.
