We have a large 4 story building dubbed the “aRt Castle” that was once the old military barracks. Here you can see over 60 artists’ work on display and for sale. Welcome.

The town of Åhus came to belong to the archbishop of Lund. From his castle he controlled the trade. The castle is one of the remains from the Middle Ages that still remain. The exhibition at Åhus museum contains lots of archaeological finds from Åhus and its predecessors. These findings give us a glimpse of the medieval Åhus and the life in the city among merchants, scholars black brothers, the archbishop's officers, artisans and farmers. Every summer, various exhibitions complement the permanent exhibition.
