Things to do in Singapore, Singapore: The Best Gift & Specialty Shops

March 30, 2022 Emerita Lamoureux

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

Bugis Street

Bugis Street market has now been transformed into a mecca for shoppers and bargain-hunters. This market has just about everything you could want – CDs, souvenirs, t-shirts, shoes, jewellery, knick knacks and other fashion items.

This is my wife's favourite place cheap shopping, bargaining and cheap eats. Its a street market but it's inside a building does get crazy busy but its so much fun going around looking at souvenirs, clothes and toys. The market is popular with tourists and locals alike my kids loved getting slushies and fruits from the many stalls around. Located right across from the bugis MRT and if that's not your speed the place is surrounded by many malls and high end shops.
