Cape Greco National Forest Park

Our Annual Walk from Dhyrenia Viewpoint to Ayia Thekla takes us through one of Mother Nature’s finest creations that is Cape Greco. This year after the Lockdown and complete lack of tourism Mother has reclaimed some of her lost vegetation and the area is looking very very green and welcoming. So peaceful and tranquil on this warm January morning. So relaxing it should be on prescription.

Famagusta Viewpoint

Reviewed By Brijan34 - London, United Kingdom

It’s now called Cultural Centre Municipality Famagusta and is very close to the border with Turkey Occupied Cyprus. Has a wealth of information together with binoculars and a rooftop viewing area and it is all free! Many of the houses that used to be viewing platforms have now closed partly due to the fact that it is relatively easy to cross the border. We nearly did close to Deryneia Army Barracks but stopped in time and turned back. A must see to understand the strength of feeling of of the true Cypriots who have lost much of their island to the Turkish Invasion. The line that separates the two halves winds all over the place with no rhyme nor reason, it’s said that Kissinger drew it when he was drunk!
