Watch Museum of Le Locle

An amazing collection in a beautiful setting! Loved the house, it has been arranged with great care and perfect furniture for the setting. An iPod was available to rent (CHF 3) which gave a huge amount of information, allow plenty of time for this visit! There are also a couple of 3D films to watch, one showing in detail the pieces in the museum with all their mechanical pieces working, just brilliant! Have left the museum with a burning desire to have a few such clocks and watches myself, but managed not to attempt to take any home with me!

International Museum of Watches

This is a must-see in this region of Switzerland, especially on a Sunday when most of the country is shut down. Admission price is modest and gains you entrance to surrounding museums. The exhibits are rich in detail, easily accessed, and full of information, especially if you use the audio option, which only requires ID for use. Our eyes were opened to the wide world of timepieces and care in which they were crafted throughout the ages.

Moulins souterrains du Col-des-Roches

Reviewed By 66justinea - Wengen, Switzerland

Although the information on the boards was mainly in French with some in German additionally; we were given audio handsets with English which guided us through the caves with a good balance of history and humour so didn’t feel we missed anything at all. Was very evocative and could imagine them in working conditions vividly! The caves were fascinating and thought the reconstruction was very well done, only thing I could suggest is a photo display of the renovation as would have loved to have seen this! The exhibition upstairs was interesting and a few extras to give entertainment. This part would have nice to have an English translation.

The House of Absinthe, a must-see place for the "Green Fairy"! Binding innovatively culture, economy and tourism, this center presents its history, with the mythical period of the underground and its recent evolutions. Nice place to visit and discover the secrets of one of the most amazing beverages. The proposed tasting is very interesting and helps you to understand the authentic absinthe styles.
