Basic Hotel
Reviewed By chucklingstarfish~Location~ I had read that the location was good which is why I picked this hotel however whilst it wasn’t bad, I didn’t find it especially good either. ~The Room & Establishment~ The room was pretty basic with a desk, fridge and TV but no safe. There were a lot of mosquitoes on the premises which wasn’t great. The aircon dripped all night outside the window - not sure if it was from my room or above. The noise from other guests was loud and inconsiderate. The walls are very thin and it felt like I was in the bathroom with the man next door taking his ablutions!! It was seriously gross. Whilst you can’t stop the noise from outside, it would be good if management put up signs on the backs of doors/the corridors advising that before 7.30am and after 10pm to please be quiet. I’d say the photos provided by the hotel were from when the hotel was first opened and not recent. Guest photos are a slightly better guide. Hot water/pressure: I froze then fried and the pressure was not good for washing long hair. Wifi: mostly good ~The Service~ Reception staff are polite and friendly. Great service booking a taxi out to Buddha Park and with help booking our minivan to Vang Vieng. Communication: Good

Reviewed By Jayne GWe are staying here for 6 days in total, what a fab place. The rooms are clean, bedding and towels are always fresh and changed regularly. Air con works well and always hot water for showers. Breakfast is lovely, fresh fruit and a choice of hot food. Staff are friendly and so helpful. Frudge in room helps. Location is off a side road. It is at most a 10 min walk from the market, river and restaurants. No views from rooms but a quiet road. Great value too approx £15 a room. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By stefanblankThe hotel is very well located close to the center of Luang Prabang, some rooms even have a view at the river Kam. The staff is very friendly and helpful, every afternoon guests get a fresh fruit juice. The included breakfast is good as well and offers many options. There‘s construction next door, the workers start at 8 a.m and finish working at 5 p.m. But this should be over soon. All in all: great and affordable choice in Luang Prabang.

Best Hotel in Paksong but try to avoid
Reviewed By ItsmorningThe check in process is very complicated. The hotel had a special offer on the room rate but when confronted with a lower price on the usual websites we were told we could use the hotel’s own website which was about a dollar cheaper than the usual websites. Unfortunately the hotel website is not fit for purpose and it was not possible for us or the management to make a booking on the hotel’s website. In the end they just gave us the lower rate. The staff are the best part of the overall experience and the hotel rooms are quite comfortable. Only a few of the 92 rooms were occupied during our one night at the Danngram and in such circumstances you cannot expect a massive buffet breakfast BUT you can expect the hotel to try just a little bit. Instead the only fruit on offer were slices of a low quality water melon and the only bread was the sort with a shelf life of 6 months served with the cheapest jam you can buy. Really very poor. TOP TIP. After breakfast on your last morning you must get your key card validated. There is a problem in the system and after midnight on your last night the keys will not work. Overall if you find yourself overnight in Paksong then there really is no other place to stay but I would definitely make sure in the future that I got myself to Pakse or Salavan. There is absolutely nothing to do in Paksong.

Reviewed By PartyloriThe room is big enough, the bathroom is clean (also not that beautiful, but who cares). There is an ac, free bottled water on the room and free drinking water/tea/coffee at the reception. Also the staff/owner speaks quite good English and is willing to help on every issue. Only thing is, the communication isn’t really fast. We asked 24h before we arrived at the airport if we can get a pick up, but didn’t get an answer until we checked out the morning after we arrived. Beside this, the guesthouse offers everything u need for your stay in Luang Prabang!

They said because of the changing rates so I let it go because the difference wasn't much. The rooms... Is like having paper walls, you can hear everything! Breakfast was far from even average so we skipped even though we stayed there three nights. Shared toilets and showers so don't expect anything to be clean. Location is perfect, that cannot be denied.

Reviewed By rachaelssThis is the first time I have reviewed anything less than 4 or 5 stars...this is not a complaint, just an honest review... We stayed here for a week and probably would not stay again. The location is great and the staff are fine (indifferent, if anything). Spent most of their time on their phones. The beds are so hard, so much so that my body ached whilst trying to sleep. The hotel is extremely noisy...you can hear everyone coming and going and the doors slam, which seemed to happen at all hours of the night. They also have a funny alarm system if you don’t close them quick enough, so that also played out many times a night. Rooms were cleaned daily , which was a positive. The pool had toilet paper in it and we told the staff but this remained uncleaned for our entire stay.
