Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt Airport

Best Hotel Breakfast Ever

Reviewed By Paul S

We had booked this hotel because of the price, its shuttle, and included breakfast. We were flying out of Frankfurt Airport the following day, having arrived at the airport by train. We had to take COVID tests and, after a bit of difficulty, located the stop for the airport shuttle which served both the Holiday Inn and Hampton. We were dropped off at the Holiday Inn and had to walk around the corner to the Hampton. Upon arrival, we had to wait in line for a bit before checking in. Having finished that, we found that there was a trick to operating the elevator. The room key had to be held against a sensor. Having no restaurant, we walked back to the Holiday Inn for supper, which was very good, if a bit pricey. Our Queen bedroom was clean and comfortable but the A/C - Heat was difficult to adjust. Butthe best was yet to come. The included breakfast buffet was the best we've ever had with items too numerous to mention. I highly recommend this hotel to travellers flying in or out of the Frankfurt Airport.

This a&o, located right next to the main railway station, is steeped in history: during the Imperial period, it was the Imperial Post building; today, people from all over the world explore the city from here. We strive to protect your sleep, just as government protects this building and its renovated historical facade, which is a listed monument. There are 163 modern single, double, family, and multi-bed dorm rooms, as well as space for 10 cars and a kids’ corner for our little guests. Don’t be fooled by the stately lobby – sleeping here is remarkably aff ordable!

Small and not so comfortable despite great location

Reviewed By julieg768

We stayed at the Amano Munich 2-7th June. Pre booking a Roomy room said to be a little larger than the standard. Starting with the positive location great for most city sights or further out by underground. Breakfast was good similar options everyday but plenty of choice - you can ask for some fresh eggs to be made also. However - The rooms are small and really only great if you literally want to sleep and shower. Not much room around the bed to put your case even carry on ones. Luckily ours fitted under the bed itself. There are 2 Bedside cabinets but not actual drawers wardrobes etc. so be prepared to leave most folded or in your case. There is a nicely decorated hotel bar. However not available to us during our stay 1 night closed for a private event the remainder closed every night due to staff issues was the reason. With the usual fizzy water no one really wants in the bedrooms and no tea and coffee facility in room - not great. Can’t grab a nice drink and chill near your bed after a busy day out in the city! Also due to the lack of hanging space I put my nightie on the bathroom door hook. It was removed possibly by the cleaner on our second morning and not returned. Despite reporting that, no one has updated me either way about its whereabouts or offered a formal apology. Emails are not answered either despite being prompted to send a query that way if you have one. In summary Good location but not really a hotel in terms of facilities and treatment / service. More just a set of rooms for rent whilst you visit Munich. Munich it self is great - lovely city and lots to see and do. Great buildings and everyone outside the hotel very helpful especially the ladies in the Marienplatz information centre.

The location of this a&o is as cosy as the bed you’ll be sleeping in: the main railway station is just two minutes away on foot, and Cologne Cathedral is literally steps away. If you find yourself unable to move after a long night of carnival partying, then well, you’ve come to the right place. There are 42 single, double, and family rooms, and like at every a&o, a bathroom with shower/ WC. Too Expensive and Nobodies Home

A private room was over 100 euro per night. The front desk had a lot of trouble finding my booking and asked me to come back to pay several times - but when I did, no one was ever there. Didn’t feel secure. Clean, but tiny and in a super busy part of town, not a very good communal space. Also with the heat, no fan or air con available. Windows attracted a swarm of bugs when opened. It just wasn’t comfortable. I’d been sharing a dorm for just over a week in another city and needed some proper sleep. I didn’t get it.
