Such a fabulous time
Reviewed By 22022022VBFI stayed there 4 nights and would have loved to stay longer but it was fully booked. Nevertheless, I manage to come back again for an other 3 nights. The room was very spacious with a very nice sea view from the first floor rooms. The new manager is super nice and kind, he is also very accommodating and will do his best to help you through your stay. I walked barefoot everywhere as there is no road between the hotel and the beach. Dots I sent door and their yoga class at 8am is great. I was not disturb by Dots' music as some may say. I loved it and will definitely stay there again and for sure recommend it. They have only 6 rooms so often fully booked. PS: place is much nicer than the pictures here

Хозяин виллы – приятный, предупредительный молодой человек (мистер Санкальпа), говорит очень понятно по-английски и ловко перефразирует сказанное, если видит, что вы какие-то слова не понимаете. Отличная звукоизоляция: например, в холле могут громко говорить по телефону, а в вашем номере вообще ничего не слышно. Хороший мощный кондиционер – охлаждает комнату в считанные минуты. Хороший водонагреватель – быстро нагревает воду и долго держит комфортную температуру. Очень удобный матрас, удобные подушки. Много вешалок в шкафу (как правило, их мало в отелях). Нет телевизора (телевизор всегда портит своим видом любой интерьер). Нет музыки у бассейна (музыка всегда раздражает). Напольные весы в холле! Очаровательные собаки, живущие на территории виллы, - кажется спаниель и хаски. Домашняя атмосфера, как будто ты приехал в гости к своим ланкийским родственникам.

Reviewed By 298lilyalВ этом гестхаусе жили 3 ночи во второй половине апреля. на этаже три номера для гостей. Мы бронировали самый дешёвый, но по приезду за 10 долларов повысили категорию номера. Номер большой, есть горячая вода, кондиционер, вентилятор. К сожалению не хватало шкафов или полок под вещи. Завтрак не очень понравился. Но в гостиной есть чайник, чай, кофе, сахар, можно себе приготовить бесплатно. Рядом магазины. Ходили на пляж Хирикетия. На большом пляже Диквелла в это время года уже волны, купаться некомфортно. Хозяин за умеренную цену отвёз нас на своем туктуке до Мириссы.

Reviewed By TravelW8We had dinner at another place and were kind of stranded alongside the road in the dark. We got picked up by the owner of Trio, he brought us to our guesthouse for free and saved us. Such a nice Guy, I recommend this place for sure.

As the name says Clay and wood base infrastructure are well blended with its surroundings. A beautiful place for a family getaway. Offers a wide variety of tasty food, its Sri Lankan cuisine is one of the best experiences. Friendly services, rooms are clean and well maintained. The location, staff, infrastructure, and generosity of nature elaborated this place like no other.

NEVER, NEVER stay here!
Reviewed By Olga_iaroshchukOwner worries so much about his reviews, that forgets to be human!! No friendly for families with kids! Owner totally does not tolerate them. Kitchen for extra fee :-( Yes, rooms are clean and everything inside is new, but owner is crazy… He just threw us out with a baby and a lot of luggage in the rain. He did it after we stayed 3 nights, although we agreed to stay in his hotel for 3 weeks. Why? Because we moved table to another place near our room (of course, we asked other guests before if it’s ok for them). The owner forgot that we were his guests, not subordinates. He shouted at us that it’s his hotel and his rules. But we only moved the table, nothing more!! (to have more space for baby, and my husband could work with a laptop). And, we agreed to move it back. BUT owner said that we have to find another place for staying. We were shocked by this situation… Another interesting moment: owner’s kids very often came to our room, stayed near the door and just looked at us, what we do inside ? It was really uncomfortable. And one more thing. There is a diesel generator in this place which might look like a convenient thing. But if you are unlucky to live in the ground floor, you will be surprised by the amount of noise this generator produces just couple meters from your room’s door. In our case diesel generator was turned on at 10pm when baby was already sleeping. So if you want to keep your nerves and not spoil your vacation, it is better to avoid this place.

Reviewed By trinishac2017We stoped here for a quick dinner. Nice atmosphere. We ordered some hoppers which was good. However our 2nd order took a little time to come as we had to repeat the order to different servers a few times. But overall everything was good and reasonably priced. Most special feature about this place is the really nice kids play area near the restaurant. It had quiet a few rides including a trampoline. Families with kids this place is highly recommended for you.

Our booked room was given to diplomats
Reviewed By LinaNemethI booked a room with two double beds and balcony with garden view where is possible to sit on chairs and take a rest for our family of 4 and instead of it, after our arrival the staff took us to a different room for 3 with ugly balcony where you couldn't sit and waited if we are going to say something on it with a obvious hope that we will accept it. When I asked what it does mean, it was said to us that the original room we booked was already given to another family which already have stayed in the room 1 night before and asked the management if they can pro-long their stay. These people arrived with diplomat's label on their car, what for the management played its role, so staff agreed without saying them that the room is already booked for another 2 nights by other people. We arrived really exhausted after difficult travelling through blocked routes because of local demonstrations in the area and were so looking forward to take a rest. Instead of it, The Hotel of the Bend treated us like somebody who is less important than others. We asked if they could be so kind and explain to these guests the whole situation, that we had a booking for this room already before and if they can offer them different room that ours. The manager of the hotel denied with repeating and lying that all guests are treated the same what was not obvious true. We couln't feel welcome there anymore and had to find different kind of accomodation in Hirikatiya. Such a shame.
