コロナ対策も万全
Reviewed By MarianJ007数か月に一度泊まる我が家の定宿です。コロナで長いステイホーム中にも、「早く慶山に行きたいなぁ。」と思っていました。自粛緩和でやっと来れました。 さて、宿に入るといつもとは少し違う雰囲気が....。とにかく徹底したコロナ対策で驚きました。まずチェックイン前に、２人いっきに分かる検温機で検温されました。スタッフさん皆がフェイルシードとマスクのダブル着用、手にはビニール手袋をされてました。チェックインが済むとラウンジでお茶が出されますが、今回はラウンジは閉じており、仲居さんが部屋へ案内してくれましたが、その際もエレベータは一組とのことで、一緒に乗らずでした。 いつもは部屋で仲居さんがお茶など入れてくれますが、仲居さんは中には入らず、すまなそうに「お茶入れの代わりに冷蔵庫に冷たいお茶やジュースがあります。」と言われました。部屋や部屋のドアノブには、ビニールカバーがかけれえていました。また。お風呂は人数が40名以上にならないように、行く前に内線に電話するように、部屋の案内に書かれており、また館内でのマスク着用のお願いも書かれていました。お風呂の冷水器にも手でさわらないようにテッシュが置かれてました。どこまでお客さんがやるかはともかくとして、このお宿に来て、今回初めて少し緊張してしまいました。 しかし、全てがお客様のため（また働いている従業員さんのためであり）であり、ここまで一生懸命にコロナ対策を行ってくれていることに、とても感謝しました。 お客である我々も、宿館内でも食事時以外、自分たちの部屋以外ではマスクをするなど、しかるべき行動をするべきと思いました。 さて、いつもの大浴場に行き、大きな露天風呂につかると、緊張もとけ、やっとここに戻って来れたなぁと一人「I’ｍ back!」と映画のセリフをつぶやいてしまいました。お風呂上りには、お休み処で、キンキンに冷えた冷たい麦茶と桃のゼリー菓子をいただき、幸せを感じました。 ところで、お宿にはいろんなプランがありますが、個人的には、朝夕個室食のプランをお勧めします。特に今のような時期は安心を感じますし、会場食のプランより、いろいろメリットがあります（良い部屋、鍵二本、浴衣二枚、朝の新聞、個室食など）。 朝夕食は個室ですが、いつもより広い個室でした。二人ですが、向かい合わせではない、余裕のある席設定でした。夜は天婦羅、朝は卵料理を調理人さんが部屋の前で作ってくれ、出来立てを食べれます。いつもはほうとう鍋ですが、お鍋もいくつかある中から今回は選べました。 なお、今回は旅行サイトJで出している笛吹市クーポンを利用し、いつもより、お得に滞在してしまいました。 次回予約まですでにしてしまいましたので、また来ます。Our favorite Ryokan (Japanese inn, hotel) Very good Onsen - hot spring. A very pleasant surprise
Reviewed By mikebernThis hotel appears a bit ramshackle on the outside, but inside it is well-run and ship-shape. They are also very welcoming to foreigners and we were always treated as welcome guests, never as a nuisance (as sometimes happens at inns of this kind). Food, while not extravagantly fancy, was good and well presented and prepared. Room was HUGE. With both a Western-style living room and a Japanese-style living room IN ADDITION to the Japanese-style bedroom. Outdoor bath was really nice (in fact I wish I was in it now!) The only thing a bit funny about it is that it has great views, but you can’t see them when you’re sitting in the bath. So you actually have to stand up (naked) in order to see anything. The opening hours of the baths are very liberal. There are many convenience stores nearby, and a supermarket.

Luxurious WINE Bath! Outdoor Mineral Bath picked for Poster!
Reviewed By AndraYo4 Reasons you MUST try! Such luxury! 1. As the French know, wine baths are great for skin & health. Here it is combined with the Mineral Onsen waters and kept at a lower temperature for longer soaking. Skin never felt so wonderful! 2. The Outdoor Thermal-water Onsen is quite beautiful and featured on the Yamanashi Prefectural poster (was extremely hot in the summer, but perfect in January). 3. We loved the Koi Fish swimming up to the Floor-to-Ceiling Windows and into the lobby overlooking the 4. beautifully landscaped garden. Pay 100 yen and feed them (no wonder the Carp are so big) There is an older section to the hotel so maybe the other reviewer paid the cheapest price. We stayed in the tower section (in picture) and newly renovated room with beds, sitting area, large tatami area and pretty tokonoma. 5. The food was very elegant too. 6. Excellent view of Mt. Fuji from large room windows-stunning in the sunset! And now you have 6 reason to stay

Not special, but good hotel
Reviewed By kazukio683I stayed with my friends at one night. We had a good time, but this hotel is a kind of traditional Japanese inn. I guess there aren't any special points. It takes 15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by a shuttle bus from Isawa-onsen station. There is a large supermarket in front of its station. It is very convenient for you. You can enjoy an open-air spa and sleep at a Japanese-style bedding in a straw mat room. Buffet breakfast and dinner are also good. Staff is kind and friendly.

ABSOLUTELY NO CHARM!
Reviewed By dhlchungOur tour operator put us in this hotel for one night during our trip to Japan and it was the worst of the 5 hotels that we had stayed. I think this may be a popular hotel back in the '70s for its hot springs bath. This is really an old time ryoken catered to local Japanese, possibly on a budget. The receptionist did not speak a word of English so it was not good communications. The tatami rooms were very run down and ancient even there is a new wing, it did not look much better. Sleep was very uncomfortable as one of our tour mate was beaten alive by mosquitos. The bath room was non-existent, especially for westerners. Wifi was only available in the lobby area and by 8 am the next morning, it was shut off. Incredible.
